Crochet Hook: F-5 (3.75mm)
Gauge
20 sc and 22 sc rows = 4" (gauge is difficult to measure
in lace pattern – work swatch entirely in sc). Use any
size hook necessary to obtain the specified gauge.

ch 5, dc in fourth ch from hook and in next ch;
rep from * across, ending with sc in last sc;
fasten off. Rep along other long edge.
Rnd 2: With RS facing, join yarn with a sl st in
first ch-5 lp along one long edge, ([dc, ch 3, sl st
in third ch from hook – picot made, dc] 3 times)
in same ch-5 lp, * ([dc, picot, dc] 3 times) in next
ch-5 lp; rep from * across long edge, (dc, ch 2)
evenly along short edge; rep from * across rem
edges; join with a sl st in first dc; fasten off.
