It’s Time for the Bulldog Bolt FUN RUN!!!
All students will receive a free Bulldog Bolt t-shirt the day of the Fun Run!
The Briarcliff Elementary School PTA has been working all year long to bring you our 1st annual
Bulldog Bolt Fun Run scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2015. Funds raised by this event will be used for
the purchase of technology for our classrooms, books for our Media Center, athletic equipment for Mr.
Brooks, musical instruments for Mrs. Brooks, providing tutoring and enrichment programs, sponsoring
artist and writer workshops, and providing teacher grants for classroom supplies, among others.
What Is the Bulldog Bolt Fun Run?
Each week from our kickoff assemblies on April 1 until our Fun Run on May 1, students will watch
character building videos starring fellow students and staff. The day of the Fun Run during their
appointed times, each grade level will spend 20 minutes running/walking around the track in the field.
They will set a goal for how many laps they will run before the Fun Run and have their laps counted
during the Fun Run. We hope everyone will meet their goals!
How does my child get pledge donations?
Follow these 3 Simple Steps to Pledge Success!
1. Register your child for our Fun Run by visiting: thegetmovincrew.com We have
teamed with The Get Movin’ Crew© to help make on-line donations easy! Click on “Get
Registered” in the red box in the bottom right hand corner & create your child’s own custom
fundraising webpage. ***Don’t have access to a computer? Use the pledge sheet &
envelope included in this packet to collect cash or checks (made to Briarcliff PTA) donations &
turn them in to your child’s teacher by Friday, May 8.
2. Friends and family who live near by and far away (even in other countries!) want
to help your child be successful and share in their achievements. Share your child’s
student fundraising page with family and friends to promote online pledge donations. You can
email the unique web address assigned to your child and/or use the social media tools right on
your child’s web page. It’s easy! (Your child’s webpage cannot be accessed via an on-line
search - you must send it to whomever you wish to share it with).
3. Watch your child’s Pledge Meter blast to the top fast! Most credit/debit cards are
accepted from anywhere in the world. Check your child’s web page often to see all pledges
they’ve received. Reach Pledge Superstar status by going above and beyond and fireworks
will ignite on your page!
Our Total School Fundraising Goal is $20,000
• Please help us by helping your child raise a total of at least $40.00 in pledge donations.
Individual Pledge Rewards
All on-line pledges are merged with donations made on paper pledge forms for student totals.
Weekly Raffle
Register online at thegetmovincrew.com & your name will be entered into a raffle for Briarcliff t-shirt given to
2 students each Friday in April.

For every $40 in donations, your student’s name is entered into a drawing for prizes like NC State & ECU

Grand Prize Raffle
For every $100 in donations, your student’s name will be entered into our Grand Prize drawing of a Kindle Fire
HD7 (e.g. $200 = 2 chances!!!)
Knock the Bucket of Water on Mrs. Raiford in the Dunking Booth at Field Day!!!
The top student & teacher earners from each grade level, top specialist earner & top staff earner will take a turn
knocking the bucket of water on Mrs. Raiford at Field Day!
Classroom Pledge Rewards
All Classrooms are encouraged to work as a team to reach their goal! Ask your teacher to check your
class’s ranking each week leading up to the Fun Run!
• All classrooms that reach their classroom goals will get to have a Spirit Day of their choice (Wacky Hair
day, Twin Day, Pajama Day, Crazy Hat Day, Crazy Sock Day - or choose all 5 for a super Crazy Combo
Spirit Day!!!)
• Top earning class per grade will receive a popsicle party
• The class with the most pledges will receive a class party from Great Harvest Bread Company!!!
Bulldog Bolt Fun Run Details:
• Fun Run Date: Friday, May 1, 2015 - Make plans to come cheer your child on, run with your child,
or volunteer the day of the Fun Run. In order to run with your child or volunteer you MUST be a registered
volunteer with WCPSS. The last day to register as a Wake County Volunteer in time for the Fun Run is
Monday, April 13 between 8 a.m. & 4 p.m. in the Briarcliff office or any Wake County Public School. Sign

• Final Pledge Due Date: Friday, May 8, 2015 - This is the last day to turn in cash/checks (made to
Briarcliff Elementary PTA) and make on-line donations.

May 15, 2015 - Students will receive & place their raffle tickets in their preferred prize raffle buckets
during lunch the week of May 11. *Need not be present to win
