Brokerslink signs long-term partnership with insurer Saham
Finances to support Africa & Middle East expansion
21 May 2015: Brokerslink, one of the world’s largest groups of independent insurance
brokers and risk consultants with premiums and consulting fees in excess of USD 20
billion, has signed a three year strategic partnership agreement with pan-African insurance
group, Saham Finances.
As a result of the agreement Saham Finances, the biggest pan-African insurance group
(outside of South Africa) with a turnover of more than 1 billion USD in 2013, will increase
its participation in Brokerslink’s current book of business in the region for property and
casualty as well as accident and health insurance. Both parties will also work together to
create new business opportunities.
Africa and the Middle East is a key development region for Brokerslink. 12 months ago
the broker created a specific Middle East and Africa management team led by Youness
Rhallam, CEO of Alpha Assurances, one of the largest independent insurance brokers in
Morocco, to drive expansion in these rapidly growing markets. The initiative has already
paid dividends by enabling Brokerslink to build closer relationships with local clients and
tailor its service delivery to match the specific needs of the region.
Brokerslink was restructured in 2015 following capital investments by MDS, Crystal &
Company, Filhet-Allard, Nova and CGSC to create a diversified global broking company
focused on utilising its new corporate strength to expand and build enhanced multinational client support capabilities.
Brokerslink has also established a dedicated and
centralised management resource supported by marketing, branding and an expanded
Board.
