2015 Bronxville Athletic Spring Spirit Events
The Bronxville HS Athletic Council will be sponsoring many Spring Spirit Events. These events are designed to create a
fun-filled sports experience for our student athletes and the entire Bronxville community. In addition to our
athletes’ efforts on the field, varsity teams will be giving back to many great causes.
Please join in the excitement and watch how the power of sports can bring a community together.

Youth & Athletic Council present the South East Consortium Basketball Game
SEC Hawks vs BXV Varsity Athletes—Main Gym at 8:00pm
Boys Lacrosse Fan Game—Team Up For St. Jude—4/18, 3:00pm
The boys will be raising money for St. Jude Children's Hospital, which is the world leader in advancing the treatment and
prevention of catastrophic diseases in children.
Pep Rally & Senior/Faculty Volleyball Tournament—4/24
In the main gym, spring season varsity captains will take the microphone and introduce their team, seniors, list team
accomplishments, and inform the audience of their next match-up. The Senior/Faculty Volleyball Tournament is always
exciting as a bracket style tournament creates a fun atmosphere between both students and teachers.
Community Service Day & BBQ—4/25, 10am-Noon
All High School students are encouraged to come out and help out in the Bronxville community. This year the Varsity Golf Team will
be assembling bikes for the Hearts to Home program. In addition, students will be helping Bronxville senior citizens, working with
the Meals on Wheels program, and cleaning around campus. A BBQ will be held at noon, immediately following the event on Hayes
Practice Field. Come out and give back to your community. All HS students welcome to attend.
Varsity Baseball Fan Game—Zoe Klimley Foundation– 4/25, 11:00am
The “Bronco 9” will be raising money for the Zoe B. Klimley Scholarship Fund. The baseball program will be giving away 30 FREE
t-shirts, hosting a bake sale, offering hot dogs/drinks, and a lucky winner will get a chance to announce a half inning of baseball.
In addition, all kids will be able to run the bases after the game.
Meet the Athlete Day—4/27
A group of Varsity athletes from all three seasons speak to the entire third and fourth grade on the topics of sportsmanship and
character. They will also share their most memorable Bronxville sports experiences, with time for questions and answers.
This is a great opportunity for both the elementary school students as well as the student athletes.
Track and Field Elementary School Fun Clinic—4/27, 4:00pm-5:15pm
Both the Girls and Boys Track and Field teams will be hosting a FREE clinic for Elementary School students. Kids will be coached
by varsity athletes in sprints, high & long jump, fun relay races, and obstacle courses.
Girls Lacrosse Fan Game—One Love Foundation—4/28. 4:30pm
The girls lacrosse team will be raising money for the “One Love Foundation,” which is in honor of Yeardley Reynolds Love, a
former lacrosse player at the University of Virginia. The mission of the Foundation is to end relationship violence
through education and technology.
Youth & Athletic Council Present the South East Consortium Basketball Game– 4/28, 8:00pm
The SEC Hawks will take on a group of Bronxville athletes in a fun-filled basketball game. Come out and cheer on both
teams as they spread awareness for Autism. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
Elementary and Middle school fans are encouraged to come and cheer on the Broncos! These fan games will feature free
giveaways, raffles, exhibition by your own BYLA teams, fun music, athlete autographs after the game, and other enjoyable
entertainment. Concessions and bake sales will be available. All ages are welcome to join the school spirit.
