2015 - GRADING & TEAM ALLOCATION - U12 to U15
In 2015 the Grading Program will be compulsory for all U12 – U15 players. Players will need to
complete the 2015 Grading Nomination Form by Monday 16th February These players will
participate in a range of drills, simulated game situations and trials during our pre-season period
under the guidance of the Club’s Coaching Committee, Brothers Seniors and the QRU. See Key
Dates below.
The grading of teams allows for the variation in skill level at certain age groups and provides an
opportunity for those willing to play a higher standard of rugby. The safety of players is also a
major reason for the club to develop a grading process for these age groups. Specific training
programs can be designed to be more appropriate to the skills of the players including the
technical and tactical elements of the game.

Players must complete the nomination form outlining personal and playing details ie:
Name, Age, Height, Weight, Playing positions, School Team, Representative History etc.
Players who register after the grading process may be considered however will be placed
on a waiting list.
An extensive training and selection process will be conducted by the Coaching
Committee prior to finalisation of graded squads.
Graded Squads will be selected on Tuesday 3rd March.
The Graded Squads will have 3 training sessions and 1 match (BJRU Trial) as a group
prior to finalising the Graded Teams for the year.
The final Graded Teams will be announced by the Coaching Committee after the BJRU
Trial Game (Sunday 15th March) on the Brothers Junior Rugby Club Website on Tuesday
17th March 2015.
Written objections can be submitted via email to the Coaching Director via email
[email protected] however, all decisions made by the Coaching
Committee are final.
