Free Tobacco Cessation Programs at Broward College Tobacco cessation programs will be held onsite at many of our campus locations. These programs are provided free of charge by Tobacco Free Florida’s AHEC Tobacco Cessation Program. The Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Program offers two options: Option 1 – A one-time, 2-hour session where participants learn how to develop a successful quit plan and Option 2 – Groups meet once a week for 6 weeks and cover a variety of topics including coping with withdrawal symptoms, managing addiction and preventing relapse. Both program formats provide free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (patches, gum and lozenges) to help tobacco users cope with nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
