REMINDER – You can begin shooting at 9:00 am. It has been reported to Board members that shooting has
started before then. Let’s be good neighbors and follow the club rules.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATLEY! – Shotguns are no longer allowed on the pistol range. Point blank shotgun
shooting is tearing up the backstop. Also, do not set targets on the railroad ties. They are bullet backstops not
target stands.
NEW SAFETY RULE: #15 - No exploding targets, exploding bullets, and no incendiary devices at any time.
IT’S ELECTION TIME - nominations can be made to any board member or at a general membership meeting.
WORK BOND - If you owe work bond time there is one Work Party Saturday (6 June) left in the year. We plan
on cleaning the Scotch Broom of the berm between the rifle and pistol range.
PISTOL RANGE UPDATE - We just received our NRA grant check, so now the work will start on the
construction of the building. We have a general contractor that has talked about donating the labor. He and John
Way have worked out the materials list. Hopefully we’ll see work started and completed in June. In the mean
time we augured and set the poles for the building and the extension of the side berm, built the berm toe and
started to breakdown the berm on the rifle range to build up the pistol berm, we also added another course of
railroad ties to the pistol berm. Next work party, 6 June, we plan on continuing to takedown the berm on the rifle
side and build up the pistol berm.
Lincoln County Sheriffs Office donated 200 yards of gravel, which was delivered last week while we were out
there so we spread some of that in front the rifle range and spread it on the pistol range. We will have to
compact the pistol side and put another layer down.
PLEASE – bring your own target stands for the pistol range, preferably one you don’t have to hammer into the
