Chapter 8 Group 8 Plot Summary Gatsby and Nick talk. Nick tells Gatsby to go away for a vacation. He invites Nick to swim, but he has to go to work, before he goes, they talk about Gatsby’ s real life and his love for Daisy. (perspective changes) Wilson is distraught and is talking to Michaelis with concern and anger and was on his way to Gatsby’s house. At 2 o’clock, Gatsby goes into the pool while obsessing about Daisy and hoping for a call. A gunshot was fired and his help hurried to the pool: a thin red circle proved the death of Wilson and Gatsby Important information ● ● ● Events: Gatsby’s death foreshadowed by Nick trying to convince Gatsby to leave Story of Daisy told by Gatsby Gatsby dies and Wilson commits suicide Characters: Wilson hates Gatsby because he believed Gatsby killed his wife after having an affair with her.
