The Critical Corporation Project presents an interdisciplinary panel to debate the question of the corporation and its relationship to the community. How does corporate capitalism affect and shape communities and identities? How does an extraction company talk to the local community whose land it seeks to use, and how do legal frameworks help or hinder them? Do Coca-­‐Cola’s third world ‘women’s empowerment programmes’ create successful entrepreneurs or blame women for their own poverty? Does Gender Budgeting account for gender equality or does it just count women's bodies at work? How do individuals and communities resist commodification?
