If the committee is unable to contact an applicant or the applicant does not respond in a timely fashion, it may result in the applicant not being considered for an award. Students enrolled in 12 or more hours in the fall will receive a full scholarship, while students enrolled in 6-11 hours in the spring will receive a 50% scholarship. Students enrolled in less than 6 hours in the fall will not receive a scholarship. Failure to update contact information (e.g., mailing address) may result in the applicant not receiving a scholarship. I understand that to be eligible for a scholarship I must have completed or be enrolled in one of the 8 required accounting major classes since the last time that I received one of these scholarships. For example, if the most recent scholarship that you received was in the Fall of 2014, you must have completed a class in the Fall of 2014 or the Spring of 2015 or be enrolled in a class for the Summer of 2015. In addition, I must have at least one upper-level (i.e., 3000 and/or 4000 level) required accounting major course (i.e., ACG and/or TAX) remaining to complete in the Fall 2015 Semester or later. (2) Pursuant to Florida State University policies, I must provide the Accounting Department a “thank you” letter addressed to the donor/sponsor as indicated in the letter of notification (the letter sent by the Accounting Department to a scholarship award recipient after the scholarship decisions have been made) by the date specified. (3) I must be registered for classes as an accounting major at FSU during the Fall 2015 Semester. (4) The scholarship award will be disbursed by the Florida State University Financial Aid Office through the financial aid distribution during the Fall 2015 Semester. In no case will funds be paid after the Fall 2015 Semester. (5) The names of the scholarship award winners may be publicized, including but not limited to posting the names of the award winners on the Accounting Department webpage. (6) Pursuant to the College of Business policies, scholarship recipients are expected to attend the 2015 Leadership & Scholarship Dinner in the Fall 2015 Semester, barring unavoidable circumstances (e.g., a class scheduled at that time).
