What contributions can you make toward achieving the mission and goals of CAHPERD?
I will help our organization grow, tapping into Twitter, social media, and google hangouts with members
collaborating across the state on the same goals. We can take what an online group Physedagogy has created and
look at online professional development to better provide for our members adding value to their membership. We
can reconnect the state’s Physical Education Teachers and future professionals by organizing topical Google
Hangouts to share professional experience and opinions. We must advocate for our profession and keep the
momentum we have gained from the current legal settlements that puts PE back into districts priorities.
Other:
Participate yearly to raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s foundation. Collaborate with local hospital to create a youth
health and fitness challenge. Help train local area hospital workers for running events. BTSA support provider.
