CITY TOUR

Description
If you are in Bogotá on vacations or business, you must visit Monserrate Hill. To see the city’s
greatness from above is a unique experience that will become an unforgettable memory.
Monserrate Sanctuary rises to 3.152 over the capital, becoming the most popular viewpoint
of the city, with the best view Bogotá can offer. It is the center of the national religious
tradition, and has become a part of the capital’s history due to the high flow of visitants,
both Colombian and foreigners. Monserrate is a destination for the Catholics, but also for
those who are looking for the beautiful landscape you can enjoy from there. Shopping is a
part of this tour too, because we can find different stores selling typical souvenirs. This is the
perfect scenery to try the famous “canelazo”, a delicious mix of the traditional aguardiente
(sugar cane alcohol) with cinnamon and agua de panela (whole cane sugar water), that
is hot served and which sweet flavor is unique.
There are three options to reach the top of the hill: Funicular, aerial tramway or a walking
path. Any of them will give us a privileged view of the city.
When we come back, La Candelaria neighborhood will be waiting for us, with all the history
and buildings that were the witnesses of the city development. The National Congress, The
Primal Cathedral, The Justice Palace, The Mayor’s Headquarters and the 20 de Julio House
are some of the architectural pieces of work we can visit.

ZIPAQUIRA SALT CATHEDRAL

Description:
The Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira is a place that everyone who visit Colombia must know. A
monument to faith that became an architectural piece like no other.
Near to Bogotá, Zipaquira is a colonial town known for its beauty. But its typical architecture is not its
principal attraction. 180 meters under the ground we can find an engineering jewel, famous around
the world: The Salt Cathedral. Let’s see with our own eyes this space that will leave you breathless.
Inside the mine there are different pieces of work that, due its size and illumination, make this place
an obligated destination.
We could travel around fascinating small villages from the Bogotá savannah besides Zipaquira like
Nemocón and Guatavita that offers typical handcrafts and scenerios with exceptional beauty.
Lunch time will let us explore the flavors of the local gastronomy, with different fresh ingredients that
will astound your taste.

GUATAVITA

Description
The Legend of El Dorado comes to life in Guatavita Lagoon, an ancient place that
fascinates whoever visits it. Let’s explore the mysteries of this place, where all the magic
from the natives live.
From the beginning of our tour we will be enjoying of viewpoints strategically located to
give us the best view. For about an hour and a half, we will be witnessing the beautiful
landscapes that surrounds the city, until we arrive to Guatavita The New, a picturesque
town with a unique architechture, located next to Tomine dam. From there, we will
continue our way to Guatavita, where we can enjoy the popular legend of El Dorado,
based on a muisca ritual with gold as the main character.
The pictures will be the memory of this trip and its stunning landscapes.
Let’s explore the typical flavors of the traditional dishes from this part of the country, while
we enjoy the beautiful small towns near Bogotá. We will have the option to visit places with
