• Printable mosaic design and template
• 5 yellow squares
• Newspaper or a plastic cloth
• 108 black squares
• Multi-colored construction paper
• 4 black triangles
• Scissors
• 8 green squares
• White glue
• 20 green triangles
• Glue stick
• 12 orange squares
• Water
• 36 red squares
• Plastic cup
• 20 blue squares
• Small paintbrush
• 36 blue triangles
• Paper plate or a piece of cardboard
• 16 purple squares
• 20 purple triangles
1 • Have an adult help you get all the materials you will need to make the mosaic.
2• Print out the mosaic design or draw your own design.
3• Lay down some newspaper or a plastic cloth.
4• Mix with your paintbrush equal parts of white glue and water together in a plastic cup.
5• Glue, using the glue stick, the mosaic design to either the paper plate or a piece of cardboard.
6• Use construction paper as the ‘tiles.’ Or, tear out magazine pages printed with colors you like.
Cut strips of colored paper into small squares and triangles. Organize the colored paper into
piles according to their color.
7• Brush a small amount of the glue/water mixture on the plate/cardboard, then put the squares in
place. Once the colored square is placed in the design, brush more glue/water mixture on top.
8• Repeat step 7 until you are happy with your mosaic design.
9• Let the project dry completely and enjoy the finished project.
