The direction of the print should be parallel to the 1 1/4” side.
Unit A:
Make 24
Combine the 2” squares to make 48 four patch
blocks.
Cut a 45º angle from one end of the cream
solid 2” x 3 7/8” pieces. Add the remaining
tiger print 2” squares. (some of these will be for
unit B)
Stitch the green print 1 1/4” strips to half of the
leaf print 1 1/4” x 6 1/2” strips, noting the
direction of the fabric. Add to the sides of the
panel print 8” squares.
Add the green print 1 1/4” x 2” pieces to the
remaining leaf print strips. Add to the top of
the panel print 8” squares.
Combine the pieces as shown. Make 24 of
each unit.
Cut the multi print 5 1/8” squares once
diagonally. (some will be used for unit B) Add
to the units. Trim to
3 1/2” x 15 1/2” if
necessary. Make 24.
Unit B:
Make 12
Combine the remaining pieces from unit A to
make 24 units.

Add the units. Trim to 9 1/2” x 15 1/2” if
necessary.
Add the border stripe 7” x 68” strips to the sides
of the quilt.
Add the black tonal 7” squares to the border
stripe 7” x 71 1/2” strips. Add to the top and
bottom of the quilt.
Combine Units A and B to complete the block.
Trim to 15 1/2” square if necessary.
Layer, baste and quilt as desired.
Bind with the remaining black tonal fabric.
Cut the tan print 15 1/2” x 44” strips into
31 – 2” x 15 1/2” pieces.
Combine with the black tonal 2” squares and
blocks to make the center of the quilt.
