Steps to Apply
STEP 1 - G Number
You must have a G number to enroll. If you do not have a G# go to:
http://websmart.smccd.edu click on "Apply for Admission".
If you have not attended classes for two semesters you must reapply to our college.
Go to: http://websmart.smccd.edu click on "New and Former Students".
STEP 2 – Reading and
English Placement
In order to apply to our program, you must be eligible to enroll in Reading 836 and
English 836. If you have completed equivalent courses with a grade C or better or achieved
a score of 89 on your SMCCD assessment tests for Reading and English, you will not be
required to take these courses as part of our program. Please attach an unofficial transcript or
a copy of your assessment test scores.
If you have not taken Reading 836 and English 836 or equivalent and/or have not taken
our reading and English assessment test, you must schedule it now. Go to:
http://canadacollege.edu/assessment/prepare.php to schedule a test date.
STEP 3 - Financial Aid
You must complete an online FAFSA form for Fall 2015. If you have already completed
your online FAFSA form please provide most recent submit date: ____________________
If you have not completed your online FAFSA application for Fall 2015, go to:
http://canadacollege.edu/financialaid/index.php to complete the FAFSA form now.
STEP 4 – MEDA/CBOT

application
When you have completed Steps 1-3: Save your application as a .PDF or .JPEG and email it

STEP 6 – Attend our
Orientation
You will be required to attend an orientation on August 5, 2015. Time and location
will be posted on our website (www.canadacollege.edu/caa) by July 1, 2015.
