Canoe Slalom BOP Incorporated P O Box 16-‐292 Bethlehem TAURANGA 3147 FIXED TERM COACHING POSITION Canoe Slalom BOP invites applications in writing for a permanent fixed term contract for the position of club coach. The position is based in Tauranga, New Zealand, as well as the BOP region and overseas when required. Details of the position are: * Coaching of club slalom paddlers with a range of white water experience ranging from beginners to international representative paddlers. * Contract to commence at the beginning of NZ school term 3 – 20 July 2015 and terminate at the end of NZ school term 3 2018. The contract may be renewed at the end of this period by mutual agreement. * Coaching at Canoe Slalom NZ camps both within NZ and overseas as required to coach club and non club athletes. * 32 hours per week guaranteed. * Hours are predominantly before and after school on weekdays with full training days held on Saturday and Sunday. * Travel to Okere Falls, Rotorua – Kaituna river required during the week and weekends. * Salary rates to be agreed * 4 weeks paid annual leave included . * Driver’s license & own transport required * Good command of the English language required Previous Experience Previous experience as a canoe slalom coach is required to fill this role.
