Options for super juniors have been discussed with Paddle NSW and it is anticiapted that the Paddle Power courses could assist this group. It was agreed that a development team would be established following the 2015 worlds • Objective 2 – agreed that a lot of these actions have been achieved • Objective 3 – agreed that there should be a greater focus on squirt boating. There has been little interest from veterans and masters in the social category at competitions so the social category is now senior men and senior women regardless of age. The template approach to competitions is working well with more efficiently run competitions • Objective 4 – agreed that the nationals should be in other states however, there are few suitable features. The number of Victorians at the 2015 nationals was noted • Objective 6 – agreed that the committee support those wanting to undertake their instructor and coaching qualifications. The ICF will be holding judging sessions in Ottawa and people should take the opportunity to participate in learning experiences for judges. It was noted that the ICF should produce an on-‐line video for judge training, this would be of signficant assistance to those residing in the southern hemisphere. It was also noted that the committee will need to administer ‘working with children’ checks • Objectives 7 and 8 – most of the actions have been achieved • Objective 10 – Gary to investigate kayaking instruciton options for parents • Objectives 11 and 12 – current work is contributing to these being achieved 4.7 NSW Sport and Recreation grant report – Eileen reported that the practical part of the grant had been completed.
