Christopher James Hill 1947 - 2015 Christopher James Hill, 67 yrs, of Lambertville, formerly of Ida, MI, died Sunday, March 15 in Aspen Grove, Lambertville, under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Friday from 2-9 PM. There will be a Masonic Service for Christopher at 7 PM, also on Friday . Christopher will lie in-state on Saturday from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida. Pastor Ted Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Lulu Cemetery, Ida. Born September 4, 1947 in Toledo, OH, Christopher was the son of John F. and Nancy (Ersig) Hill. He was a 1965 graduate from Rogers High School and earned his Bachelors of Business from the University of Toledo in 1972. He served with the Ohio National Guard from January, 1970 until January, 1976. He married Trudy Ziesmer on June 25, 1994 in Ida, MI. Christopher worked for Toledo Public Schools as the Director of Building Services for 30 years, retiring in 2011. Christopher was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, became a Mason on December 16, 1969, and received the honorary 33rd degree in Scottish Rite Masonry in August 2008, served as Master of Sylvania Pyramid Lodge #287 from 1990-1991, 1992-1993, 1999-2000, 2002-2003, Order of the Jesters and member of Zenobia Shrine. Chris loved his grandchildren, deer hunting in Irons, MI, Ohio State football, antique John Deere tractors, Tobasco sauce on everything and a good cigar. Survivors include; his wife, Trudy; two sons, Matthew J. (Summer), David Christian; a sister Elizabeth (Theadore) Bowman; two grandchildren, Grant Christian and Garrison Nicholaus.
