INDIVIDUAL RETREATS
Because some carers never seem to be able to fit into group retreats Carers Queensland and
Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre are offering individually directed retreats at Sofitel
Broadbeach.
These individual retreats are structured to provide carers with brief rest and recreation and an
opportunity to refocus on their own resilience and coping skills. Our Counsellor will assist carers
to identify and assess personal retreat objectives by telephone before and after the retreat.
If you are caring for someone who is living with mental health issues or someone
over the age of 65 and you have not been on a Commonwealth Respite and
Carelink Centre funded Retreat in 2014 then call CRCC on 1800 052 222 to register
for these retreats before Monday 13th April.
If there are more eligible carers than retreats available a ballot will be conducted to determine
who is offered a place.
Once you have been offered a place by Carers Qld you can arrange a date with Sofitel
Broadbeach. Our arrangements are based on week day pricing and will exclude most school
holiday and public holiday periods. A little bit of compromise may be required but if you cannot
get a date that suits you we will pass the booking on to the next carer on the list.
If you choose to have someone stay with you the extra cost is your own responsibility.

and a Gold Class movie ticket
