Microsoft has discontinued support for the operating system Windows XP as of 08/04/2014.
Please note that it is therefore advisable to change to a current operating system.

Layout: Change of Background; Color of Screen
The gray coloring in the background of the screen has been removed for better readability. Thus
the input and output fields are more clearly represented by their coloring and stand out visually
from the rest of the screen.

Administrator: Direct Entry; Grouping of Statistic Queries / Print general
Under the Administrator Toolbar, the selections "Print General Documents", "Statistic Queries"
and "Voucher Reporting" have been grouped together under the heading Direct Entry. The single
heading "Reports" has been removed from the overview of "Print general documents" and is now
only available for access by the administrator!

Printing: Appearance of available Document types
The appearance of documents available for printing, fax, mail or print preview has been
redesigned. As in previous versions, printable Forms are listed in the upper part of the window
and may be selected to print, fax or mail. In the lower part of the window, documents which have
been produced in connection with a procedure (for example, Shipment / Object / Customs
declaration) are displayed and can also be printed. Incoming documents such as ABD, VBD or
duty assessment notices, which need to be handled as PDF or special functions (tax assessment)
are displayed under the heading Documents. These can also be retrieved through the Reports
menu.

Printing: PDF Direktdruck ohne Acrobat Reader
Documents / Forms in PDF can be printed directly without opening Acrobat Reader. In order to
use this function, a printer must be defined within the client’s technical Master data. When you
select "Print" and choose a printer, the print request is passed on immediately, without having to
first open the PDF. This function can be set up by DAKOSY.

Printing: Reports; new display of Archived Documents
Archived documents are now displayed under Reports. Archived documents are indicated by a
check mark in the column titled Existing. As in previous versions, the archived documents can
also be accessed by selecting Document Archive in the Administrator toolbar.

2.2 Forwarding Module (CargoSoft GE)

General: Shipment Tab Messages & Status changed to Info center
The former Messages & Status tab for a Shipment has been renamed Info center. Users can now
make entries manually in addition to the entries created automatically. This can be performed by
using the + button. After being saved, the entry is displayed as Manual entry in the field Type.
The information from the tab links are also displayed in the Info center. In a later release of GE,
tab links will be removed from the application.

Sea freight Export: Transport orders; Expansion of Addresses
Within the Shipments menu, the related task Transfer order has been expanded to include
Addresses and Print texts (up to 20).

Sea freight Export - New Booking request - Carrier Booking (eBooking)
New to the GE application is the function Booking request (Carrier eBooking), which enables the
reservation of a container with a carrier. The booking request (Booking Request) is transmitted to
the appropriate carrier and includes the options Original, Update and Cancellation. The two latter
functions are only possible after a successful booking confirmation has been received from the
carrier. As with a B/L, the booking confirmation (Booking confirmation) can have different status
displays. These include Accepted, Conditionally Accepted, Declined and Pending. If the status is
Pending, the reasons will be displayed textually, and may indicate that an electronic response is
not yet possible. If the request results in a booking, a shipment can be created. A requirement for
using this new function is the individual registration with the carrier. Without this registration, the
function cannot be used.

Export Port Order: BHT Registration; multiple MRNs per Container
In order to make the BHT registration easier, the method of entry has now been updated to mimic
other data entry methods in the application, for example, the entry of MRN per container or the
different types of Customs Declarations. For AES registrations, multiple MRNs per container can
now be entered. Thus "artificial" goods for a container can be created. These are needed only for
the data entry and should not be sent! The multiple registration numbers (MRN) are then
displayed in the field of Customs Declarations.

Incoming Voucher Invoice: Voucher Consol; new manual cost Distribution to
Houses feature
To create an Incoming Voucher Invoice, a new function for editing the contents of a voucher line
has been added to allow the manual input of cost distribution for Consol shipments. Any type of
cost can be distributed by clicking the checkbox Distribute to Houses and specifying the
appropriate Distribution Key to be calculated. The distribution can be done by the following

keys: Linear, Number of Kollis, Gross Weight, Total Volume or Freight Duty Weight.
The resulting distribution of the costs of House Shipments can be reviewed by choosing Edit
Incoming Voucher Invoice through the related task Edit Shipment.

Voucher Setup: Create charge code with special type - Charge Code „EUST“ and
„CUSTOMS“
With the addition of the functions Voucher Setup and Cost Type in the master data, new Key Cost
elements (Special) for Customs duties (code Customs) and the Import tax duties (code EUST) are
now possible in the Voucher. If cost elements are input and defined in a Voucher using this
Special cost element key, the Customs duties and import VAT are included in the Cost Type line
and will be provided for the shipment while a customs declaration and a corresponding existing
tax notice can be issued. The amounts are then automatically displayed.

2.3 Customs Module (ZODIAK GE)
2.3.1
General: Overview Customs Declaration; Search Customs Declarations
The input screen for searching Customs declarations has been expanded to include the following
selections:
o Customs office and Customs Participant
o Article Code and Commodity Code
o Customs Reference (Documents and Preceding papers)
The output of the search result has been restructured. The date of the last change is now displayed
in the third position of the table. The sorting and display order of the requested search is now
descending following this date.

General: Overview Customs Declaration; New Reference Number + Blank spaces
The strict rule that no blank spaces may be used in the creation of a Customs declaration
reference number has been relaxed. It now allows spaces in assigning of the reference number.
Please note that the following restrictions apply:
a. The reference number cannot begin with a blank space
b. There cannot be two blank spaces together.

General: Customs Declaration – Tab Messages & Status; Changes in Info center
Der The Messages & Status tab in a Customs declaration has been renamed Info center. In
addition to the entries created automatically, manual entries can now be entered by the user. For

General: Master data Article; Expansion of Dangerous Goods and Documents
New tabs have been added for Dangerous, Explosives and Radioactive Goods as well as
Documents. In the Master data of the articles, the process of documentation in the form of
relevant base codes can now be specified. The origin and encryption of the Documents is taken
into account depending on the procedure. By changing the method of displaying the table, the
documents can be exchanged. After the article codes entered in a Customs declaration have been
saved, the documents will be transferred to the corresponding document tab.

General: Copy NCTS procedure; from Permission to Unload in Import or Export
It is now possible to copy NCTS operations into other procedures, for example, an NCTS Arrival
Notification (NCNA) into a procedure of the type NCTS Departure (NCD) or a Customs
declaration for free transport (IMDC or IPDC). The data from the NCD procedure can be copied
into each Customs declaration task by selecting Copy Customs declaration. Depending on the
procedure, available data groups can be copied, for example "Documents (position)". Data groups
that do not exist in the target process will not be copied. This changes when copying the data
from an NCTS Arrival Notification, which is entirely dependent on the status "Permission to
Unload". In order to copy this procedure, the window for editing the Unloading Commentary
must be accessed and then the related function Copy Customs declaration can be used.

Print: VBD and ABD – direct printing without opening document
For the printing of VBD and ABD documents, the command to print was previously located in
the displayed document. To simplify printing, these documents are now integrated in the print
menu of Customs declarations. The available documents can now be accessed directly from the
print menu of a Customs declaration. Please also see the explanation in Section 2.1.3.

In previous versions, only the name of the Customs Office was printed. The printout has been
expanded to include the contact details of the Customs Offices.

The print output for the document Certificate of Origin has been moved. This is now accessed via
the Customs declarations printout function by entering the requested document number.

Export: Print Transit document T2L; changes
The print output for the Transit document T2L has been changed. If it has been entered in the
Export declaration, the field Shipper / Exporter (field 2) is printed with the same information. For
field 54, the place and the date is copied and printed.

SumA: Tasks; Warn list expiring temporary storage (ATB15-Nummers)
The statistic result for Summary declarations, which are displayed as "Warning List Expiring
ATB", can now be set in the control parameters so that in addition to generating an e-mail, an
entry in the main screen of the Tasks window is displayed. The priority for the task can be
defined as "Low", "High", "Critical or" Normal ". The information on this Warning list has been
expanded to include additional details. It will display all registration numbers (ATB15 numbers)
and their expiration dates (End date). The right mouse-button function "Text Search" can be used
to search, for example, specific registration numbers. This function can be set up by DAKOSY.

The screens for Shipping declaration NCD have been revised and adapted to the GE standard.
Various fields have been regrouped, some new ones added and a few deleted. The main changes
are outlined briefly below.
