Heal’s presents a decorative
flourish of events for Spring
S
pring has well and truly sprung at Heal’s,
and alongside our glorious new seasonal
collections we’ve been busy pulling together
a jam-packed calendar of events for the
coming months.
Following the success of Heal’s Modern Craft
Market earlier in the year, our ‘more than a store’
programme is on the front to deliver a range of
workshops, talks and live demo’s in-store.
Teaming up with a diverse array of leading designers
and makers, this unique series of events has been
specially curated to match the exacting tastes and
passions of our design hungry customers.
And with plenty more to be announced over the next
month, keep your eyes peeled for ‘What’s On’ at Heal’s.
Eley Kishimoto in Conversation with
Professor Lawrence Zeegen
To celebrate the launch of Eley Kishimoto’s optical wallpapers
at Heal’s, join us as we take a trip into the design duos
wonderful world of prints.
Leading the conversation, Dean of the UAL’s School of
Design Lawrence Zeegen will be quizzing the Brixton based
designers on their illustrious fashion career, expanding
repertoire of interiors, and trying to discover the inspiration
behind their eclectic prints and patterns along the way.
Just like an Eley Kishimoto design, this exclusive event is
sure to reveal a fascinating story.

London Craft Week Live Demonstration
with Gemma Waggett
Textile designer Gemma Kay Waggett presents a live
demonstration of one of the oldest printing techniques –
screen-printing – in-store at Heals, Tottenham Court Road.
This handmade process entails the passing of ink or other
printing media through a stencilled mesh stretched around a
frame, with the stencil openings determining the image that
will appear on the base substrate.
Gemma has been screen-printing for over 10 years and will
answer questions about the process, discuss her work, and
show you how to screen print for yourself.
