What journey lead you to become the queen of accessories? II studied Genetics and Biochemistry at Stellenbosch University. I had no outlet for my creativity and used to jealously watch the art students on campus with their carefree view of the world and extreme ensembles. I was inspired by the bohemians, the nerds, the drama students and township chic culture in Cape Town and knew that I had to get involved in the fashion industry. Accessories for men used to be a small, non-essential commodity in South Africa. In recent years the mass market for menswear accessories has exploded and has not yet reached its fullest potential. I am so glad to be part of the accessory ‘revolution’! How do accessories play a part in the Outdoor Luxe trend? No look is really complete without the extra’s that reflect your personality. It’s like making the cake and then leaving the icing off! Outdoor Luxe is more about layering garments, textures of fabrics and completing the look with chunky scarves and beanies.
