1 tsp Vanilla Extract
200g Self-Raising Flour
½ tsp Baking Powder

1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/170°C Fan/Gas Mark 4.
Beat together the butter, caster sugar, eggs and vanilla
extract until smooth.
2. Sieve the flour and baking powder into the mixture
and combine.
3. Spoon the mixture into 12 cake cases and bake for 12-15
minutes until golden.
4. While they’re baking, make your buttercream icing. Beat
the butter in a large bowl until soft. Add the icing sugar
slowly and beat until smooth.
5. Leave the cupcakes to cool on a wire rack before decorating
with icing and sprinkling on your decorations.
