NEOPHYTE MASS: It is customary that all those who have completed their initiation at the Easter Vigil come together
during the Easter Season for a celebration of the Eucharist. This celebration will be on Sunday, April 19, 12:00 noon

DEATH OF HIS EMINENCE JEAN-CLAUDE CARDINAL TURCOTTE, ARCHBISHOP EMERITUS OF MONTREAL:
His Eminence Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte, Archbishop Emeritus of Montreal, died on April 8, 2015, after a lengthy
illness. He was 78 years old. The late Cardinal was a priest for 56 years and Bishop for 33 years. He served as the
ninth Archbishop of Montreal, from 1990 to 2012. He was made Cardinal by Saint John Paul II at the Consistory of
November 26, 1994. Pope Francis expressed his profound sorrow at the death of Cardinal Turcotte. "I implore the Lord
to welcome into the light of eternal life this faithful Pastor who served the Church with dedication." Visitation will be open
to the public at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, Montreal, on Thurs., April 16, 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., where his
body will lie in state. The funeral Mass will be on April 17, 2:00 p.m., at the Cathedral. Salt + Light TV will broadcast live

LITURGICAL MUSIC LEADERS’ MEETING: The Archdiocese of Ottawa is hosting a meeting for parish leaders of

WORLD YOUTH DAY 2016 INTEREST MEETING: The Archdiocese of Ottawa is bringing a group of Young Adults

PRAYERS FOR VOCATIONS: Third Sunday of Easter - April 19. For an increased awareness among our young
people of the closeness of the Lord in their vocation discernment and their responsibility to recognize and follow Him,

for April is for Creation: That people may learn to respect creation and care for it as a gift of God. Let us pray for all of
us who are called to full stewardship of God’s creation, for genuine conversion to help us mend the ruptures and to reestablish our relationship with nature, our sisters and brothers, and the Creator of Life.

PREPARATORY CATECHESIS NOW AVAILABLE FOR 2015 WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES: In preparation for
the 8th World Meeting of Families, Sept. 22-27 in Philadelphia, a new catechetical resource is now available. The
Pontifical Council for the Family with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has published "Love Is Our Mission: The Family
Fully Alive – A preparatory catechesis for the World Meeting of Families", to assist in preparing dioceses throughout the
world and to serve as a guide for the World Meeting itself. Available in several languages, it provides an overview of
theological topics surrounding the family and can be used as a catechetical tool for families, engaged couples, or

DEVELOPMENT & PEACE (CCODP) – AID & ACTION FOR PEACE IN SYRIA: Today there are 3.8 million Syrian
refugees and over 7.5 million internally displaced people. In Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan DEVELOPMENT AND
PEACE is providing refugees with blankets, warm clothing and fuel for heating during the winter, along with housing,
