In collaboration with the Canadian Association of Wound Care (CAWC), the Colchester East
Hants Health Centre is pleased to offer a customized wound management educational program,
which consists of online modules and a two-day interactive workshop. Participants of the
Program will successfully complete the five Ontario Hospital Association/CAWC online wound
modules as a prerequisite before attending the workshop. The OHA will provide licences for
the online modules component to each participant upon registration. The interactive two-day
educational program will be led by an interprofessional faculty that focuses on the prevention
and management of wounds. Key topics will include pressure ulcers, lower-limb ulcers, diabetic
foot ulcers and acute wounds. Case-based group and individual activities with a focus on
decision making that takes into account the latest evidence, the patient, the team and other
available resources will be the primary format for both days.
