All applicants must be at least 18 years old and are required to have Firearms Safety Training!
Without that training your application will be REJECTED! You must send a copy of your firearms safety training
diploma, certificate or card with this application or your application will be denied. We accept a wide variety
of courses, such as Hunter Safety, the NRA Basic Training courses, various safety training schools, such as
“Gunsite”, “Talon”, etc., or IPSC or IDPA Safety Check cards, National Range Officers Institute, Concealed Carry
Permits, and various shooting competition Classification Cards, but a copy of your safety qualification must be
enclosed. We do not accept military recruit weapons training as safety courses. If you need safety training we
can provide you with contact information for you to arrange your own training. The training must be completed
before we can accept an application.
Do not send any payment with this application. When there is a membership opening applicants will be called
or emailed for a required range introduction, and payment will be required at the end of the introduction.
We have three classes of membership fees: The charges are for 12 months from March to the next March.
1. The basic membership fee is $140 per calendar year if you are not a member of the National Rifle Association.
2. The basic membership fee for members of the National Rifle Association is $80 per calendar year. To receive
the NRA discount you must enclose a copy of your annual or Life Member NRA membership card or a copy of
your NRA magazine label. The magazine label must show a future expiration date. Do not send a copy of a card
that says “Annual Member”; without a future expiration date, it does not prove current membership in the
NRA. If you want to join the NRA, call 1-877-672-2000. Ask about the different types and costs of membership.
3. The membership fee for law enforcement officers is $50 per calendar year. Law officers are defined as being
badged and must have authority to carry a firearm and make arrests. If you are a law officer please send a
copy of your police identification card. Retired officers need to send a copy of their I.D. card saying “Retired”.
Check appropriate volunteer interests below; if you list an interest you may be asked to help. Volunteer hours
are discounted against the next year membership fee at $10 per hour up to a maximum of a free membership.

Participant's Agreement of Release of Waiver of Liability

1. That I am participating in the use of the Clear Creek County Sportsman’s Club (CCCSC)
Range and I understand the risks and hazards involved, and I recognize serious and
potentially life-threatening injuries can occur while shooting a firearm or participating with
others on this Range.
2. I realize that Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club has no affiliation and/or participation
with any firearms training course other than use of the range once the requirements of the
Range Protocol (click Range Protocol) are understood and fulfilled. Clear Creek County
Sportsman's Club does not, in any way, sponsor and/or promote any firearms class and/or
that which is taught in any firearms course.
3. I have read and understood the Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club Range Protocol and
agree to strictly adhere to the regulations and requirements set forth.
4. I understand that it is my responsibility to be physically fit and I represent that I am
physically fit and I have no medical, psychological, or other condition, which would prevent
my participation in any firearms training course or use of the Range.
5. I realize that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons
or entities being released for any claims for defective equipment or property owned,
maintained or controlled by them or because of their possible liability without fault.
6. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the activities of any firearms training
course, I agree to assume full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries, or damages, known
or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in any course.
7. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the use of the Range, I, my
legal heirs, executors, administrators, next of kin, successors, or legal representatives
knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waive, release, discharge, hold harmless and promise
to indemnify and covenant not to sue either Clear Creek County or the Clear Creek County
Sportsman's Club, or any of either’s agents, officers, directors, shareholders, employees,
instructors, volunteers, or representatives and relinquish any and all claims that I or my
estate, my heirs, or any person claiming under me completely and without reservation as a
condition of my participation in the course that I may have against either Clear Creek County
or the Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club, and any of either’s agents, officers, directors,
shareholders, employees, instructors, volunteers, or representatives from any and all injuries
or damages of any kind and nature that I may sustain as a result of participating in the use of
the Range.
8. I hereby consent to receive medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable in the
event of an injury, accident and/or illness during or after my use of the Range.
I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents and I
agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
