The CCF Earth Awards recognise Civil Construction
companies who have recently been involved in a project which
has excelled in;
• Construction technique
• Environmental and social management
• Project management
Award Categories
Projects are split into the following contract value categories:
• Category 1 – project value up to $2 million
• Category 2 – $2 million to $10 million
• Category 3 – $10 million to $30 million
• Category 4 – $30 million to $75 million
• Category 5 – $75 million to $150 million
• Category 6 – more than $150 million
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be assessed against the following criteria:
1. Construction Management
a. Construction excellence and industry best practice
b. Innovation in concept and implementation
c. Interface with other project parties
d. Technical complexity
2. Environmental and Social Management
a. Management of environmental constraints and enhancement
b. Resource recycling/re-use
c. Improvement in environmental amenity
d. Community consultation, interface and benefits
3. Project Management
a. Project planning and management
b. Quality control and Work Health and Safety
c. Workplace training
d. Achieving timing and budget targets
Who Can Enter?
The awards are open to all Australian Civil Construction companies.
Entries are welcome for projects involving either:
THE
• Single Contractor; or
• Joint Entry; involving Contractor / Client / Consultant / Designer;
or
CCF
• Overseas Aid Projects - CCF members only in the Asia/Pacific
region (companies entering such projects will be required to assist
in travel costs for judging).
Eligibility
A project is eligible for the Earth Awards if it has been completed in the
12 months to 31 March 2015 or has reached “practical completion
stage” (Ref. AS4000-1997) at 31 March 2015.
What ’s Involved?
Step 1:
Fill out this EOI form and send to your local Branch or lodge
electronicaly at www.ccfvic.com.au/ccf-earth-awards-2015/
This formalises your interest in nominating your project. A copy of
the Earth Awards submission pack, including templates will be sent
to you.Your local Branch representative will also be able to assist
you in any queries you may have.
Step 2:
Complete your submission ensuring that you address all of the
judging criteria (See Checklist attached). Each submission requires
a minimum of 20 high resolution images. Please provide 2 sets of
images on a separate USB or discs as well as a soft copy of your
submission.
Step 3:
Send 4 hard copy and one electronic copy of your submission, 2
discs of photographs with a copy of your EOI form to your local
CCF Branch by 30 April, 2015.
Step 4:
Attend your state Branch Awards Function.
Go to www.earthawards.com.au to find out the date and venue
of your Branch event.
All the Branch Category winners automatically become
National Finalists. National winners will be presented at the
National Earth Awards Dinner held as apart of our CCF National
Conference in Melbourne on Friday 17 October 2015.

Earth Awards Entrants
Expression of Interest form lodged with your relevant
CCF Branch.
Prepare your Earth Awards Submission.
Earth Awards Submission is checked against the
Submission Criteria.
Prepare 4 hard copy versions of your submission, 1
electronic copy (e.g. on USB), and 2 copies of project
photographs and videos (e.g. on USB).
Attach a copy of your Expression of Interest form to your
Project Submissions.
Lodge your project submission (electronic and hard
copies) with your relevant CCF Branch by 30th April 2015.

Privacy and confidentiality of your information:
By lodging your entry for the Earth Awards with the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF), you agree to the use of the
documents and information you provide to CCF (your Earth Awards entry) as follows.
In assessing and judging entries for the Earth Awards, CCF will provide your Earth Awards entry on a confidential basis
to:
• CCF staff who manage the Earth Awards; and
• External industry experts who have been appointed by CCF to judge the Earth Awards.
If you are selected as a finalist or as the winner of an Earth Award, CCF may reproduce or publish your Earth Awards
entry or any part of it including images and video recordings for the purposes and promotion of the Earth Awards.
However:
• Your Earth Awards entry may contain personal information. CCF deals with any personal information it receives
strictly in accordance with CCF’s Privacy Policy, available at www.ccfvic.com.au/privacy/
• Your Earth Awards entry may contain confidential information or trade secrets. If so, you must notify CCF that
the information is confidential by marking the relevant part of your Earth Awards entry “Confidential – not for
publication”. CCF will not publish or reproduce information marked in this way without your consent.
Any liability CCF or its officers may have in relation to the Earth Awards is hereby excluded, to the extent permitted by
law.
