Egg Hunt
We are inviting the community
for a huge Easter egg hunt
on Saturday, April 4th, at

refreshments, photos with the
Easter bunny, a magic show, and
of course an egg hunt.
Employee of the Month:
Zena Leum
Congratulations to Zena Leum.
Zena has been a resident
assistant here for one year and
two months. Her favorite part of
the job is knowing she is making
an impact for the residents. Her
motivation is helping to improve
her residents’ life. Zena is most
proud of her two daughters and
her husband. Zena started in
health care after she took care
of her grandmother, who was like
her mom. Outside of work Zena likes to read, play video games and spend
time with her family. She never leaves home without her keys, her teaser
and her lucky starfish earrings. Zena’s daughter gave her the lucky starfish
earrings. Wise words from Zena: “Every day is a new day.”
Welcome Deb!
Welcome Deb to our Stoneybrook
family. Deb was a private caregiver
to one of our residents for many
years before she got hired on as
the administrative assistant. Don
trained her well, and she will do
well. Make sure to give her a warm
Stoneybrook welcome!
Farewell to Don
Thank you, Don, for four years of your
hard work and smiles. Don is now on the
road to retirement. Don has always been
a wonderful team member. First, Don was
our bus driver and then he became the
administrative assistant. He has a knack
for remembering staff anniversaries and
thanking the staff for all our hard work. Don
is always a welcoming face to greet us at
the front desk. Don plans on using his free
time to travel, work on household projects
and read. He promises to visit us often.
Don is most proud of his twin daughters.
Wise words Don lives by: “Act justly, love tenderly, walk humbly.” Don’s
motivation is the people he serves and providing excellent service to them.
The best part of the job for Don is all the people, including but not limited
to the residents, the residents’ families, coworkers, the caregivers and the
people coming to deliver supplies.
Welcome and Congrats to Kristina
Kristina is our new Activities
Coordinator. Kristina starting
work here almost two years
ago as Stephanie’s assistant.
It was only a temporary
position, so she joined our
staff as an R.A. Kristina
worked day shift, Noc shift
and swing shift. At the end
of February she was hired as
the Activities Coordinator. This
has always been Kristina’s
favorite part of the job. She
Kristina, Lorenzo,
loves spending time with
Kristina and Maggie, rocking their flowers
Lorena, Liana
the residents and bringing
them joy. Wise words Kristina
lives by: “They may not remember what you said or what you did, but they will always remember how you
made them feel.” Kristina’s proudest accomplishment is being an Olan Mills photographer and being the
Stoneybrook Activities Director. Outside of work Kristina spends time with her big family, her sister, her two
nieces and nephew and her boyfriend. She is very excited about the position and hopes to bring something
new to all the residents. Feel free to suggest new fun activities or places to go.
Welcome Waggers
We have a fun program once a month when therapy dogs come out and hang out with us. They can be petted and
snuggled, or you can just enjoy their company. They will be here the fourth Tuesday of every month.

Shamrock Crafts and Green Cookies
We made shamrocks to hang on our doors and green cookies to go along with
our green shakes for St. Patrick’s Day. The shamrocks were decorated with
colorful patches. Keep an eye out for them hanging on doors. We also made
pistachio cookies. They smelled so yummy baking, and we had so much fun
making them.

Kiwanis is having a Pancake Festival Saturday, April 11th, 7 to 11 a.m. at First United
Methodist Church. Cost is $5 for pancake and sausage and $4 for omelet. Sign up at the front
desk. We went last year and had a blast!
The Hills Are Alive With the Sound of Music
Friday night we went to see the Philomath Middle School production of “The Sound of Music.” I was amazed
at the singing talents of the middle schoolers. The stage was bright and colorful. They had a dazzling effect of
silhouette stained glass windows on a white curtain. The had a huge, talented cast full of wonderful costumes.

Stoneybrook Singers
After the lock down we had a performance by our own Stoneybrook singers. It was themed with love. They looked
wonderful and sounded even better. Love was in the air. The Stoneybrook singers meet every Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.
in the Dining Room. The choir is led by Barbra and accompanied by piano.
