Who Am I?

I was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico in June 17, 1930 to hard working,
dedicated parents. The second in a family of 8, I always excelled in my
studies eventually becoming a school teacher. While teaching I met
the love of my life. At that time Willy, like I used to call him, was serving in the U.S. Army as a PFC in the infantry. We waited until he finished his service in the Korean War and got discharged to get married.
Shortly after our first wedding anniversary a bouncing baby girl was
born, we named her Berenice. Three years later a baby boy we named
Willner completed our family. I continued with my studies eventually
earning a Master’s degree in elementary school supervision. This allowed me to become a school principal and continued working for the
department of education in Puerto Rico for a total of 30 years of service when I retired. I have always loved traveling and enjoyed doing it
with my family, but once retired I fully indulged in my passion traveling
the four continents. I enjoyed my retirement with my beloved husband.
We had a beautiful granddaughter and enjoyed spending all our summers together. My adored husband unexpectedly fell ill and died, leaving me devastated. Eventually and with the help of my children I resumed my travels and started to enjoy life again. In time, feeling a little
lonely, and with my daughter insistence I decided to move in with her
making Los Angeles, Ca my new home.
