Winning band announcement will be executed on air, post live performance of all five [5]
finalist bands on FRI 08 MAY 2015.
The finalist vote random prize draw will be conducted after voting closes [at 96FM’s
absolute discretion]. The winner of which will be notified by a 96FM representative prior
to, or on FRIDAY 15 MAY 2015.
Active competition period ends FRIDAY 08 MAY 2015.

How to enter
Via 96FM on air messaging, unsigned Perth bands will be encouraged to enter, via the
dedicated competition page on 96FM.com.au.
Entry requirements include;
Bands main representative contact details [name, address, contact number, email].
Band details [name, members, together, website [if applicable] Facebook [if applicable].
A 25 words or less description of bands aspirations.
A picture of the band [.jpg format only].
An original song recording [.wav or .mp3 format only].
Entry is only open to Perth bands, with at least two members, whose members are

Australian residents and aged 16 years and over, and who are not signed to any music
publisher or label.
If the band becomes signed to any music publisher or label during the Promotion Period
they must immediately notify 96FM, and acknowledge the band and their entry will be
deemed ineligible to further participate in the competition.
By registering and submitting music for the competition via the Entrant and band
acknowledge their full legal ownership of original music ownership and understand that
in the event any music is found to be infringing on the copyright of any other songwriter,
including the use of samples, will result in immediate dismissal from the competition and
no further correspondence will be entered into.
Finalist selection for 96FM’s Search For An Opening Act for Motley Crue will take place
on FRIDAY 24 APRIL 2015 [in 96FM’s absolute discretion, no further correspondence will
be entered into].
Five [5] bands, as selected by 96FM’s chosen representative/s will be profiled on via a
dedicated voting page on 96FM.com.au and each bands original song submission will
played on air [song length may be edited for Station Programming purposes, in 96FM’s
absolute discretion] in conjunction with an interview with the bands nominated
representative.
Finalist voting will be performed by 96FM listeners via the dedicated page housed on
96fm.com.au, the finalist band that receives the most votes within the voting period, will
be deemed the winner of 96FM’s Search For An Opening Act for Motley Crue and prize
recipients.
All Finalist bands are required to perform live, providing all their own equipment to do
so, at a Perth venue of 96FM’s choosing, on FRIDAY 08 MAY 2015.
All individual finalist votes received during the Competition period, will automatically
receive one [1] entry into a random prize draw for two [2] general admission tickets to
Motley Crue ‘The Final Tour’ show on SATURDAY 23 MAY 2015 in Perth.
In the event the winning band cannot fulfil the specified prize redemption requirements,
including but not limited to the date and time/s stated, they will forfeit any claim of the
prize and the runner up band will be awarded the prize instead.
In the event the first [1st] runner up band cannot fulfil the specified prize redemption
requirements, including but not limited to the date and time/s stated, they will forfeit
any claim of the prize and the third [3rd] runner up band will be awarded the prize and so
on until all five [5] finalist band prize redemption options are exhausted. In this instance,
96FM reserve the right to recontest and/or award the prize in their absolute discretion,
no further correspondence will be entered into.
The Finalist bands acknowledge and agree to the following:
Assuming total responsibility for the transport of and safety of any band equipment used
at the live concert, and understand 96FM are not responsible, and will not enter into any
claims, for any equipment that is lost, stolen, or damaged;
Agree to follow all reasonable directives given by the nominated 96FM representative/s
and event organiser/s and any security affiliated with the live concert;
Complying with event venue terms and conditions;

The Finalist band must not stage jump or encourage any reckless behaviour;
Assume full responsibility and undertake all known and unknown associated risks
affiliated with the live concert.
Notwithstanding any other provision herein, to the maximum extent permitted by law,
96FM and its related companies are not responsible for any injury, death, loss or damage
caused to any members of the Finalist band at the live concert; and
Consent to 96FM recording the band at the live event [including photography, filming
and/or recording of the same], and that 96FM may use the recordings in any media for
an unlimited period without remuneration.
Will [1] refrain from depicting or referring to people conducting themselves in an
inappropriate manner [as determined in 96FM’s absolute discretion], [2] avoid use of any
materials that degrade or demean the human form, image or status of women, men or
the members of any group based on race, religion, ethnic background, sexual orientation
or any other minority status, [3] avoid any offensive towards anyone, or [d] refrain from
references to any other participant/s in the promotion.
Entries may not show, imply, encourage or refer to aggression or unruly, irresponsible or
anti-social behaviour.
Obscene, provocative, sexually overt, lewd or otherwise objectionable content or entries
which reflect poorly on the brand of 96FM and its affiliates will not be considered.
Determination of the appropriateness and acceptance of any entry is at the sole
discretion of 96FM, including as a result of breaching the Terms and Conditions herein.
The Finalist bands warrant and agree that they will comply with all applicable laws and
regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content,
defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or
communication systems.
Without limiting any other terms herein, each band and each member of the band
agrees to indemnify 96FM against any claim that arises as a result of the band or any
member of the band breaching these Terms and Conditions.
Backline will be provided on the night, including drum kit, amps and microphones. Stage
crew will assist set up and change over.
All band members and gear must arrive at the venue on the time stipulated and are
responsible for immediately informing the stage manager of their being so. Should the
band arrive after this time, they will be deemed a no show and forfeit the prize.
Performance times, contacts and additional required information, will be provided to the
winning band as soon as possible, prior to the performance date.
The Finalist band will be provided use of a drum kit, however must supply their own
sticks, snare and cymbals.
An in-house sound engineer will perform mix at the live event, the Finalist band is not
permitted to supply their own sound engineer.
