taken consecutively at the discretion of the centre.
2. Centres may start an examination up to 30 minutes before the published starting time
without notifying City & Guilds.
3. Centres may delay the starting time of an examination within the scheduled session
without notifying City & Guilds but candidates must be supervised from 9.30am for
morning examinations or 2.00pm for afternoon examinations.
4. For information on any other timetable variations, please refer to the JCQ Instructions for
conducting examinations or contact Exams Office Support.
5. Candidates must remain under supervision until 10.00am for morning examinations and
2.30pm for afternoon examinations. For examinations of less than one hour’s duration,
candidates must remain under supervision for a period equal to the duration of the

6. Early information. Some components require the issue of question papers, stimulus
material or other information in advance of the normal timetable period. Centres should
check the specification for information on the material required by candidates.
