PAGE 2 Judy! Judy!! Judy!!! Time Gone By Started a Judy Niemeyer quilt but haven’t finished? Tucked it away so you’ve forgotten the procedures? Timid about picking it up again? Then this is the class for you. If you have taken a Judy Niemeyer pattern class at JLC, you’re welcome to bring your unfinished project and let Jan and Shirley, Certified Instructors, guide you to completion. Brush up on the techniques used in Judy’s quilts, and get comfortable again with the process. You may sign up for one or both of these sessions. This & That ladies create great patterns. This one was reconstructed as a mystery quilt for our November On the Beach Retreat! JLC Staff gather together to kit the Double Mystery for our retreat, so plenty of variety is offered. Now, you have the advantage of seeing the quilt before you take the class! The title: Time Gone By says it all! This traditional looking quilt is made modern by simplified piecing techniques. We would be happy to help you pull fabrics for your own rendition of this wonderfully easy, complex-looking pattern filled with stars. How appropriate is that for our old theater? In all cases, it’s to your advantage to commit to an entire class offering, but we understand all too well about busy schedules, so we try to include some “serial” offerings, too! We encourage early registration as space is limited in our class areas. Our instructors have a strong commitment to making your class experiences positive learning and fun times. If a minimum number of students do not register, a class may be postponed or cancelled. Shop credit will be given. We basically have a no-cancel policy for most instruction. At the same time, we ask a commitment from you. Please be prompt for class; times are posted with the idea that the instructor can begin on time. It’s unfair to the instructor and to students who are prompt to be kept waiting. If your class begins at 9:30a, the Shop doors are open as early as 9:00a so you can set up. Although verbal commitments are fine, payment must be made to secure your spot in class, and for you to receive supplies lists. We then give you the responsibility for having everything you need for a successful class adventure. You are automatically enrolled upon receipt of class fee (admission) unless notified otherwise. If you are unable to attend a class, we are happy to issue a Shop credit IF we are notified at least FIVE DAYS PRIOR to Class. It’s important for the email: [email protected] OR [email protected] instructors to have your commitment so they can be prepared for you and to insure sufficient training materials. To avoid forfeiture of your registration fee if the FIVE days’ notice cannot be met, you are welcome to send a friend as an ‘understudy.’ Bring basic sewing supplies: pins, needles, pencil (or pen), paper, thread, scissors, ruler, seam ripper — and filled bobbins. But please note: No children, babies, or guests in adult classes. Cell phones must be turned off! And please, do not wear fragrances to class. Many folks are very sensitive to fragrances.
