CHEF DREW ANDERSON APPOINTED TO EXECUTIVE CHEF FOR THE RENAISSANCE
BOULDER FLATIRON HOTEL
Chef Anderson brings over 10 years of culinary experience to the hotel
Broomfield, Colo. - (April 30, 2015): The Renaissance Boulder Flatiron is pleased to announce the
appointment of Drew Anderson as executive chef of the Renaissance Boulder Flatiron hotel. In Anderson’s
new role, he will oversee and manage the hotel’s restaurant, Flatz Restaurant, and banquet production.

Director of Sales & Marketing Angela Blackstock. “In addition to his culinary expertise, Chef Anderson’s
passion for cooking and creativity will help to provide our guests with an excellent dining experience.”
Chef Anderson brings over 10 years of culinary experience to the Renaissance Boulder Flatiron hotel, with
over 7 years of experience working at White Lodging. He most recently was the executive chef at The Lodge
& Spa at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming where they were awarded Conde Nast No.1Resort in the
United States, No.1 Dude Ranch in the United States and No. 2 Hotel & Resort in the World. He was also
awarded Back of House Manager of the Year and Food & Beverage Team of the Year. Previously, he served
as the sous chef at the Denver Marriott South hotel and has held other various kitchen leadership roles in
the Colorado market.
“I’m excited about getting back into Denver and bringing what I’ve learned over the past years to the
Renaissance hotel” said Chef Anderson. “I hope to continue to grow as a chef and learn from the people on
my new team. I hope that my upbringing in Colorado will provide the opportunity to use as many local
vendors as possible to create a great experience for all of our guests.”
A combination of his upbringing and schooling inspired Anderson’s cooking style of keeping things
approachable and his passion about crafting menus that include fresh, local ingredients. Anderson grew up
in Northeastern Colorado on a farm in the South Platte River Basin. Growing up, his family farmed shell
corn, silage corn, pinto beans and alfalfa on about 1,000 acres of land and raised 1,000 head of Yorkshire,
Hampshire, Duroc and Crossbred hogs. Anderson completed his culinary training at Johnson & Wales in
Denver, Colo.
The Renaissance Boulder Flatiron hotel is located in Broomfield, Colo. and has 232 suites that offer great
views of the Rocky Mountains. The hotel’s restaurant Flatz Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and
dinner with a scenic mountain view. Through an open exhibition kitchen, all guests are given a front row seat
to the preparation of the restaurant’s distinctive menu formed with fresh, local produce, meat and dairy.
Private dining is available inside the restaurant for hosting private events to work luncheons.
