Cutting Instructions:
Please read all instructions carefully before beginning.
All seams are a scant ¼” which is included in all
measurements unless otherwise stated. Cut pieces in
order listed. The applique pieces include a quarter seam
allowance. Label all pieces. Refer to all illustrations and
the quilt image for proper cutting and assembly.
* wof = width of fabric, lof =length of fabric.
Fabric A – Tropical Panel (23558-Mul1)
1. Fussy cut the panel, 23 3/4" x 18 3/4".
Cut 1/4" outside the turquoise border on
all four sides. Label “A”.
Fabric B – Tropical Patch (23559-Mul1)
1. Cut one strip 23 3/4" x 6 1/2".
Label “C”.
Fabric C – Tropical All-over Map (23561-Mul1)
1. Cut one strip, 5” x 31 1/2”. Label “D”.
Fabric D – Fish All-over (23562-Blu1)
1. Fussy cut 1 piece using “Template A”.
\Label “L”.
Fabric E - Packed Fish, blue (23563-Blu1)
1. Fussy cut 1 piece using “Template B”.
Label “H”.
2. Fussy cut 1 piece using “Template C”.
Label “M”.
2 Fabric F – Packed Fish, coral (23563-Cor1)
1. Fussy cut 2 pieces using “Template C”.
Label one “G” and the other “J”.
Fabric G – Shell Stripe, blue (23564-Blu1)
1. Cut one strip 23 3/4" x 7 1/4".
Label “B”.
Fabric H – Ferns & Shells, beige (23565-Bei1)
1. Cut one strip 5” x 31 1/2”. Label “E”.
Fabric I – Ferns & Shells, blue (23565-Blu1)
1. Cut four strips 2 1/4" x wof and set
aside for the binding.
2. Fussy cut 1 piece using “Template A”.
Label “I”.
3. Fussy cut 1 piece using “Template D”.
Label “N”.
Fabric J – Packed Shells, blue (23565-Blu1)
1. Fussy cut 1 piece using “Template D”.
Label “F”.
Fabric K – Packed Shells, coral (23566-Cor1)
1. Fussy cut 1 piece using “Template B”.
Label “K”.
Fabric L- Tropical All-over (23560-Mul1)
1. Cut a piece 38” x 35” for the backing.
Piecing Instructions:
*Please refer to the quilt image and layout
image to accurately arrange all of the pieces.
Because of the directionality of the fabric, it is
necessary to carefully check the orientation of
each piece before sewing in place.
Quilt Top:
1. Sew “B” to the bottom of “A”.

2. Sew “C” to the top of “A”.
Appliques:
Using your favorite method, sew the applique
pieces to the quilt top. See the layout below
for the placement of the pieces.
3. Sew “D” to left side of “A”.
4. Sew “E” to the right side of “A”.
Finishing:
1. Layer the quilt top with the batting and
backing and quilt as desired.
2. Trim the backing and batting even with
the quilt top.
3. Sew the binding strips end to end with a
diagonal seam to form one long strip.
4. Press the strip in half, lengthwise,
wrong sides together.
5. Sew to the quilt front with a 1/4" seam
allowance.
6. Turn the binding to the back and stitch
in place.
