finish at 1700. Registration will take place at 0830 on
Day One. There will be 3 breaks at appropriate

About Your Expert Course Trainers
Prof. Dr. Engku Rabiah Adawiah is currently a Professor at the IIUM
Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, International Islamic University
Malaysia (IIUM). Currently, she is a member of the Syariah Advisory Council
(SAC) of Bank Negara Malaysia and Securities Commission Malaysia, and
an independent Shariah advisor for Islamic securities issuance, approved
by and registered with the Malaysian Securities Commission. She is also a
member of Shariah Supervisory Board of Labuan FSA. In addition, she is
also a member of the investigation tribunal for the Malaysian Bar Council.
She obtained her LLB (First Class Honours) and LLB (Shari’ah) (First Class
Honours) from the IIUM. Shortly thereafter, she successfully completed
her Masters of Comparative Laws (MCL) with distinction from the same
university. She was conferred with PhD in Law (Securities Regulation) from
the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Megat Hizaini Hassan is partner and head of Islamic Banking and
Finance Practice Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill. Megat Hizaini
Hassan advises on matters relating to Islamic banking and finance, as well
as corporate legal and regulatory developments. He has also advised
domestic and international clients on issues relating to the legal and
regulatory framework of Islamic banking and finance, as well as matters
relating to applicable Shariah standards for Islamic financial/investment
transactions in Malaysia and abroad. Prior to joining the firm, he was
practising at Zaid Ibrahim & Co. and was involved as a director of ZI
Shariah Advisory Services Sdn Bhd, a Shariah compliance advisory firm
registered with the Securities Commission of Malaysia. He was also
previously a lecturer at the Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic
University, Malaysia.
Mohd Shaifudin Mohd Noor currently is the Head of Business Support
Dept at AmIslamic Bank Berhad. He Certified Credit Professional (“CCP”)
holder and graduated from University of Malaya with Bachelor of
Economics (Majoring in Business Administration). He provides business
support and advisory on Islamic Banking matters to AmBank Group’s Line
of Businesses. He also trainer for Islamic Banking Products at AmBank
Group. And undertake Syariah Compliance & financing documentation
review and Product development and enhancement.
Mohd Nazri Chik currently he is a General Manager – Head of Shariah
Division of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. He is also an Accredited Trainer for
Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia and a member of the
Shariah Supervisory Council of Amana Bank Limited, Sri Lanka. He was a
Shariah Audit Manager at Noor Investment Group, Dubai UAE. He is a
holder of a Master’s Degree and Bachelor Degree in Shariah (Islamic
Jurisprudence) from Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya.
Currently as a candidate for Doctorate in Business Administration with
Northern University of Malaysia.
Zakariya Othman is currently a Assistant General Manager, Group CEO's
Office of RAM Holdings Berhad. He reviews all the Islamic structures and
provides guidance on Islamic finance to the other analytical staff. Zakariya
is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He
was an auditor with Ernst & Young International. His interest in Islamic
finance had been kindled when he was appointed to represent the
Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) at the Accounting and Auditing
Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (or AAOIFI), in Bahrain. He
had also been a member of the MIA’s Working Group Committee on
Accounting for Islamic Finance. He is working towards a Masters in Islamic
Finance at the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance, he
currently holds an MPhil in Communications.
Muhammad Ramadhan Fitri Ellias is currently the Executive Vice
President at Maybank Islamic Berhad. He is responsible in giving
consultation and monitoring services on product and instruments in
Islamic Finance which offers from Maybank Group that covers banking
product, marketing and fund management. He obtained his degree in
Shariah (Fiqh and Usul) from University of Malaya and Master Degree in
Fiqh and Usul Fiqh from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)

complete set of workshop documentation and a 50% refund will be
given for cancellation received in writing not later than 2 weeks prior

within 2 weeks before programme commencement.
