Student of the Week Andrew Varga Chippewa Falls High School A native of Chippewa Falls, Andrew Varga is the Chi-Hi Student of the Week. He is the son of Kevin Steele and Heather Davis. Andrew has six siblings, Emma Dekeyser, Zoe Steele, Lyam Steele, Megan Davis, Auryn Steele and Ben Davis and a pet dog, named Mack. His grandparents are Eunice Buchanan and Dan Varga and the late Cathy Steele and Buck Steele. Andrew attended Parkview and Hillcrest Elementary Schools, Chippewa Falls Middle School and is currently a senior at Chippewa Falls High School. Andrew is a member of Apollo, the vice-president of French Club and in the National English Honor Society. He has played the cello in the high school orchestra for the past four years. Andrew played soccer as a freshman and tennis for all four years of high school, lettering two. Andrew has taught both tennis and cello lessons to middle school students through the Voyager’s Program. He participated in Homecoming Activities with both Apollo and the French Club and volunteered at the Earth Day clean-up. He attends the Chippewa Valley Bible Church and is a member of their Youth Group as well as an Awana instructor for elementary school children. Andrew is an avid reader and enjoys historical novels. He listens to classical music and watches movies of all kinds. His favorite television show is NCIS: Los Angeles. He likes to jog, play recreational tennis and pheasant hunt. Following graduation, Andrew will attend the University of St. Thomas where he plans to study law. We are proud of Cardinal Andrew Varga!
