Dear Alumni and Friends,
The Columbus Grove High School Alumni Association will sponsor the annual alumni banquet on the
evening of Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the American Legion Post 516 Hall in Columbus Grove. The doors will
open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. Your presence is requested to celebrate the days spent
at our alma mater and reconnect with classmates and fellow Bulldogs.
We will be continuing an Alumni Banquet tradition by honoring faculty, administration, and staff who
have made a positive impact on the lives of our students and our school. This year we are pleased to announce
that we will be honoring Mrs. Emma Pleiman and posthumously we will honor Professor Earl Smith. Please
come and share in the memories of their commitment to their students and the role they played at Columbus
Grove Schools.
Another change to the evening will involve the tradition of class speeches. This year, speeches will be
optional. Anyone from your class may be a speaker on behalf of your class or to share memories about our
honored staff members. If your class would like to have a speaker, please contact the Alumni Association by
June 1, 2015 to get on the program.
In addition to the banquet, there will be a few other special events for the Alumni weekend. On Friday
night, June 12, there will be a cocktail party at the Columbus Grove Pool from 7:00-11:00 p.m. This event is
open to ALL CGHS Alumni and friends regardless if this is an alumni year or not. We are encouraging all
alumni to come and enjoy an evening of fellowship. There is a $5.00 cover for this event which includes
admission to the event, live entertainment, light snacks, and one drink ticket. There will be a cash bar available.
This event is for adults only and no swimming is available. Rain location for this event is yet to be determined.
On Saturday, June 13, building tours of the newly completed school will be offered from 10:30 a.m.12:00 noon. We will have student docents who will be available to take groups around the school and point out
the new features of our school or people are welcome to give a self-guided tour and explore our new space.
Please use the Alumni Entrance and check out the personalized brick pavers (on the east side, big parking lot,
by the cafeteria).
