Tryout Layout 2015-2016 April 13th: Technique Instruction (Across the floor and Stationary Skills) and Learn JV Routine April 15th: JUNIOR VARSITY TRYOUT AND CUT (Athletes that make it past this round have a guaranteed spot in our program. Those selected will return Wednesday.) They will be judged on the Junior Varsity routine as well as technical elements taught on the first day. April 16th: Learn Varsity Routines (Pom and Jazz) and learn Varsity technique skills for final tryout. April 17th: VARSITY TRYOUT/ TEAM DETERMINED AND POSTED ONLINE. The dancers will be judged on the Varsity Pom and Jazz routines, as well as technical skills. They will be placed into groups of three and will be asked a few interview questions before dancing. Results will be posted the final night of tryouts online. Attire All dancers must wear ALL BLACK for the entire tryout process. Black shorts, leggings, jazz pants, and fitted tops are acceptable. Avoid: Loose fitting clothing, Sweatpants and showing midriffs Hair: Tight bun with no flyaways.
