Columbus,Ohio 43219 FROM THE PRESIDENT NO PRESIDENT MESSAGE THIS MONTH – NOT AVAILABLE AT PRINTING APRIL PROGRAM PLEASE BRING CANNED GOODS FOR THE CHESTER COUNTY FOOD BANK COVER: CAR SHOW – SUNDAY, MAY 24, 2015 Finally winter is gone and it is car show season. Time to get those antique/classic cars on the road, and ready for our show. Our show is a lot of work and takes a lot of members to step up and volunteer to make it easier on everyone. Dave Shingle needs you to offer a few hours day of show. There will be flyers available at the meeting and it is also on our website. The ad book can be a big profit maker for the club, but we need everyone’s help for this to happen. The ad form will be available at the meeting, and if each person could get a ½ page ad at $100.00 that would be great. You have to patronize a business all year long that would be willing to put an ad in the book and have option to get a free flea market space and also have their name displayed on the field. It does not have to be car related, If you check out last years book, there is Pizza, hardware store, lawyer, etc. So, lets make this a record profit year and show Dave you appreciate him taking the chairman job and doing all the behind the scene work that it takes to put this show together. Car show flyer in this newsletter, put yours in the mail today. Thanks, Natalie REFRESHMENTS Thanks George and Jean Morton for the delicious donuts and cookies, drinks were provided. Refreshments for April will be provided by Jack and Joyce Wright and Don and Ellie Welsh. Judi and Tom Deane 2015 MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY 2015 membership directories will be printed soon and will be available beginning at the February meeting. Electronic copies will also be available upon request to [email protected]. If you have any questions concerning membership, please contact Lisa & Bud Tarr at (610) 383-0633 or [email protected]. Thank you! NEWS & VIEWS IS NOW AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY Our monthly newsletter has been available electronically for almost a year now! It can be accessed on the club's website (www.chescoacc.com) before it is mailed. If you would like to be notified when the electronic newsletter is available, please send an email to Lisa Tarr at [email protected]. If you receive email notification, a printed copy of the newsletter will not be mailed to you. You may elect to change the method by which you receive the newsletter at any time by notifying Lisa. Electronic distribution of News & Views makes saving and printing a copy of the newsletter very easy, and it helps reduce club expenses on printing and mailing costs. Your email address will not be shared with anyone. Why not join the crowd and give it a try? INFORMATION REQUESTS Now that our website has an informational email address associated with it, I am getting periodic emails regarding event notices and special requests for antique vehicles. If you are interested in receiving copies of the notices and/or requests I receive, please provide your email address to me. Thank you! Lisa Tarr ([email protected]). R/L Chuck Walker FROM THE HISTORIAN 1959 Fun Day. Can anyone guess who and where? From Ed Hilbush: Thoughts as we gain another year on our lives! Wouldn't it be great if we could put ourselves in the dryer for ten minutes, come out wrinkle-free and three sizes smaller? Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven't met yet... Lord grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can & the friends to post my bail when I finally snap! I don't have gray hair. I have "wisdom highlights". I'm just very wise. I don't trip over things, I do random gravity checks! I don't need anger management. I need people to stop pissing me off! Old age is coming at a really bad time! When I was a child I thought Nap Time was a punishment... now, as a grown up, it just feels like a small vacation! The biggest lie I tell myself is... "I don't need to write that down, I'll remember it." I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week. When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"? My people skills are just fine. It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work. Teach your daughter how to shoot, because a restraining order is just a piece of paper. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he would've put them on my knees. The kids text me "plz" which is shorter than please. I text back "no" which is shorter than "yes". Why do I have to press one for English when you're just gonna transfer me to someone I can't understand anyway? Of course I talk to myself, sometimes I need expert advice. I've lost my mind and I'm pretty sure my wife took it! Oops! Did I roll my eyes out loud? Even duct tape can't fix stupid... but it can muffle the sound! According to Albert Einstein, if honey bees were to disappear from earth, humans would be dead within 4 years. There are so many kinds of apples, that if you ate a new one everyday, it would take over 20 years to try them all. Thanks to Audrey Storm THE SENILITY PRAYER : Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
