Chasco Chat “Taking Pride in Our Success” Michele DiIorio, Principal May 6, 2015 Rob Magoulis, Assist. Principal Chasco Families, First and foremost we want to recognize our 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade students for the outstanding job they did with this year’s state assessments. The policies and procedures they must adhere to can be demanding but our students rose to the challenge and took care of business. We also want to thank our wonderful staff for all they do. Although Teacher Appreciation is a week, we appreciate them everyday. The end of a school year is always an exciting time for everyone but everyday is another opportunity for students to gain knowledge. We want to remind students that school expectations are still in place and should be followed at all times. We know our teachers will find ways to incorporate activities that are not only educational but fun as well. Our kindergarteners had a fabulous time at Robert K. Rees Memorial Park learning patterns found in nature. The students rotated around to various stations to look for and create their own patterns using sand, bubbles, shells and leaves. There has been a lot of information in the news lately about End of Course Exams and how the district is addressing these assessments. Please know that we are following the guidelines set by both the School District and the State. We are looking forward to our Chorus performance of “A Kid’s Life” on Thursday, May 7th and the 5th Grade trip to Epcot on May 8th. Ask your students about what may be coming up for them. It has been a great year and we know everyone is going to continue to do their best until the last day of school.
