1. Cast on by
inserting needle from
back to front across
top edge of yarn into
every second space.
2. Insert
right-hand needle
from front to back
through first st on
the left-hand needle.
3. Miss next space
and wrap yarn of
second space around
right-hand needle.
4. Draw working yarn
through to create
stitch on right-hand
needle. Slip stitch off
left-hand needle.
5. Repeat steps 2 to
4 until 20 spaces of
working yarn are left.

Pirouette - approx 55 ins [139.5 cm],
Pirouette Shimmer - approx 52 ins [132 cm],
Pirouette Sparkle - approx 49 ins [124.5 cm].
MATERIALS
Patons® Pirouette
(100 g/3.5 oz; 24 yds/22 m) or Patons® Pirouette Shimmer
(85 g/3 oz; 20 yds/18.2 m) or Patons® Pirouette Sparkle
(85 g/3 oz; 17 yds/15.5 m) 1 ball
1 ball
1 ball
Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) knitting needles.
TENSION: Needle size and tension are variable due to
the special technique required to knit this ruffle yarn.
INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 5 sts, working needle into
every second space. Knit every row
(garter st), working into top edge
of yarn in every second space until
20 working spaces are left.
Cast off: Working into every second
space, K1. *Slip just worked st
back on left-hand needle. Knit the
same st. Knit next st. Pass
first stitch over last st. Rep from *
to end of row. 1 st rem. Fasten off
