VOTERS MEETING: Please plan on attending the Voters Meeting, which we be held immediately after the church service today. The hospitals in our Fox Valley area are being more restrictive than ever in allowing your church to know if you are a patient there. Unless you or a family member contacts the church or Pastor John, he will not be able to offer the spiritual care you will need while hospitalized. (They often don’t follow through all the time when you ask them to contact us!) Please do not consider it an inconvenience for Pastor John to visit you. If you don’t want anything mentioned in public he will keep your confidentiality. He wants to be there for you when you need him. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BIBLE STUDY? Pastor John is leading Bible Study on Wednesdays at Christ Lutheran West Bloomfield at 9am and Fridays at Calvary Lutheran Waupaca at 9:30am. Come join us as we study God’s Word together! Please note: The last day of midweek Bible Study before Summer break will be May 20th at CELC and May 22nd at Calvary. WEBSITE: If anyone would like to add anything to our church & school website, please contact Roxanne Taggatz at 715-467-1234 or [email protected]. If anyone would like to fund the flowers on the altar or the bulletin on Sunday morning here at CELC, please be sure to let the church office know. We can put something in the bulletin about it in honor of someone’s birthday, anniversary, or in memory of a loved one who is now with the Lord. Budget Update: Receipts Expenses April $ 18,616 $ 22,741 YTD $ 109,130 $ 110,927* Over/(Under) ($ 4,125) ($1,797) * Includes transfer of $5700 from Savings Account May 3. April was not a good stewardship month. We were well short of meeting expenses. The Church Planning Council approved the transfer of $5,725 from the Bathroom Fund to Building and Maintenance Fund. More information will be provided on this at the May 17 Voters Meeting. In addition, all receipts received on May 3 have been used to pay current due expenses. The major expenses have been covered, but there is still $430 of outstanding bills, mostly for member reimbursement for expenses they incurred. I apologize to those members who are waiting to be reimbursed. We simply do not have the funds at this time. Additionally, I was only able to pay a modest amount against our outstanding fuel bill. We currently owe L&L Propane $10,000 in outstanding fuel bills. Together in Christ, Treasurer Congratulations to those who are graduating!
