It is consecrated as a holy space—and is “home” for those who are also consecrated in Baptism as the Beloved of God. I ask parents in monitoring the clothing of God’s sons and daughters. LGaetano Dear Parishioner, Our Capital Campaign is coming to an end. Those of you that have completed your pledge, we deeply thank you. For those that still owe on your pledge, please remember, you have until the end of June, 2015 to complete this obligation. Our goal is to continue to be debt free. Thanks again for helping us over these past three years. We thank all for your commitment to our parish. If you have questions about your balance please call the church office. 330.492.0757 Bill Strohmenger and Danny Bossart Come join us and meet someone new! We have a donut for you and some coffee too! Please come today after the 9a.m. Mass May 17, 2015. Christ the Servant Parish Stewardship 5/9/15 & 5/10/15 $12,251.00 Monsignor’s Corner I am far from a prude. I have been at two colleges Bethany and Walsh, and am familiar with informality. In fact ,I am more comfortable in a casual setting than in a formal one. However, I have noticed that the line between informality and immodesty sometimes is a thin one. I have no problem with men or women wearing shorts to church and comfortable tops (even with logo and words IF respectful and without innuendo.) So what is my concern? Short shorts that leave nothing to the imagination, and tops so short that when a person sits down or bends over there is more of their behind showing than “Joe the Plumber.” That is one side of the concern. The other is for a sense of modesty and decorum that respects the human body-especially women’s clothing that does not distract every male who still has an ounce of breath in them. Also, the temptation when out of control could be a source of sin and even violence against women. THANK YOU: This bulletin is furnished to the Parish without charge. The advertisements that appear completely defray all publishing costs with which the church would otherwise be burdened. Please patronize these sponsors as a thank you for their kind generosity.
