2015 Landscaping
The City of Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency (BURA) is requesting price quotes for landscaping
services and mowing of various BURA properties for the 2015 landscaping season.
Bid packages are available in person at 920 City Hall or by contacting Maria Scinta at (716)
851-5720, by email at [email protected] or on the City of Buffalo website at www.citybuffalo.com/bids. Packages will be available on Monday, April 20, 2015.
Bids are due by Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Contractors must have a valid City of Buffalo
Landscaping License and valid insurances.

The City of Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency (BURA) is soliciting quotes for lawn
maintenance for the 2015 season. Below is a listing of the properties to be covered in
the Request for Quote (RFQ).












The attached maps are a fairly detailed view of the areas to be serviced. BURA
recommends that each contractor tour the properties aforementioned before submitting
a quote.
Contractors are required to have proper insurances as outlined in the contract and must
provide a copy of a City of Buffalo Landscaping License prior to commencement of
work.
Quotes for landscaping and maintenance services must be received no later than 2:00
p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015. Quotes may be mailed to the attention of Maria Scinta,
BURA, 920 City Hall, Buffalo, New York 14202 or hand delivered to BURA at 920 City
Hall, Buffalo, New York 14202.

The duties shall consist of the following.
1. Cut grass weekly to a height of 2 ½” during the months of June, July, August,
September and October 2015.
2. Pick up any trash, debris and grass clumps from walkways, curbs, and parking
lot areas before and after each cutting.
3. Trim and edge along sidewalks, curbs, signage, uprights and standards, flag
poles, mail boxes and building every other week from May through October
2015.
4. Remove weeds on a weekly basis from all bushes, bedding areas, around the
bases of trees, along the base of the building foundation, rear of complex on
sidewalk, curbs.
5. At the start of the agreement, dig out all grass weeds from the base of each tree,
shrub, and all bedding areas.
6. After removal of all weeds noted above, re-mulch all bedding areas and around
bases of trees (natural shred mulch).
7. Remove torn wraps around barks of trees.
8. Insurance coverage required as follows:
Commercial General Liability policy with the following coverage minimums:

$500,000 Bodily Injury/Occurrence
 $500,000Property Damage
 Aggregate coverage of at least $1,000,000.00
(The City of Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency should be named as additional
insured on policy).
9. Specify the cost of each mowing after October 31, 2015 as may be authorized in
writing by the BURA.
10. Performance of all work must be in compliance with all applicable state law and
City of Buffalo Code and Charter, including but not limited to the City of Buffalo
Law Fertilizer Ordinance, if applicable.
