1 Our Booster Club Purpose: The Glenbard East Booster Club is a parent led 501(c)(3) organization representing 23 athletic programs at Glenbard East. Our primary purpose is to raise money to directly benefit student athletes and teams. Our goal this year is to raise over $150,000 between team and club level fundraising. The majority of this money is used to supply teams with needed uniforms, equipment, and program improvements. We also fund college scholarships and offer 20 free recruiting packages annually to assist student athletes who strive to participate in collegiate athletics. All money raised at the Red and Black Ball will be used to support student athletes and teams. In 2012, our club was pleased to be a major funding partner for the new turf field. This field benefits every student and the community. We will pay $433,333 over 10 years to support this project, and our first installment was paid in 2013. We are committed to paying off the turf field, while maintaining or even increasing our support to student athletes and teams. The Red and Black Ball is an opportunity to ensure that our club will be able to support all of our goals, without sacrificing our level of funding to student athletes. 2 A Special Thank You to our Booster Club Board President Dr Georgie Ludwig Athletic Director Omar Davis Treasurer Sara Ruffer Asst. to Treasurer Janis Griffin Apparel Sgt Dave Kundrot Concessions Suzanne Achenbaugh Teresa & Mike Kotch Beverages Robert Difino Webmaster Carrie Robicheaux Membership Maureen Joiner Ellen Mrazek Newsletter Erin Mrazek Badminton Robin Stranski Mary Fran Zimmerman Baseball Tom Mogavero Boys Basketball Maureen Moore Girls Basketball Maureen Joiner 3 Barb Hansen Lori Leifheit Tom Taylor Cheerleading Carrie Robicheaux Boys Cross Country Deborah Meyer Lori Sarocka Girls Cross Country Kathy Heniff Football Vikki Walsh Boys Golf Jackie Moran Girls Golf Margie Fugiel Boys Gymnastics Lorinda Ivey Girls Gymnastics Jacqueline Johnson Pom Pons Kim Marie Trostle Boys Soccer Francesca Roth Lejla Husetovic Girls Soccer Bill Mrazek Linda Paganucci Softball Mike Caruso 4 Boys Tennis Leslie Osburue Lori Nasti Girls Tennis Ariana Guraziu Kathleen Kerndl Boys Track Tracy Wadle Girls Track Michelle Meadows Boys Volleyball Beth Seymonds Girls Volleyball Suzanne Achenbaugh Patti Hanewall Wrestling Mike Fugiel 5 6 Table of Contents Welcome Tonight’s Program and Dinner Menu………………….9 Auction Information…………………………………………10 Registration, Auctions by Cellular Information, Split the Pot Raffle, Wine Pull, Beer Pull, Smokin’ Hot Meat Raffle, Heads and Tails Game Information, Lottery Tree Raffle, How to “GIVE”, Auction Guidelines, Checkout Guide Live Auction Items…………………………………………….14 Silent Auction Items………………………………………….16 Apparel-16, Baskets & Packages-18, Beauty & Health-23, East exclusives-26, Experiences & Entertainment-28, Home & Pets-36, Keepsakes-39, Sports-44, Team Baskets-49 Event Donors, Sponsor Ads ……………………..……….56 THANK YOU TO Matt Hoganson at Graphic Arts Services for providing the program book printing. 7 President’s Welcome! Thank you for coming to the 3nd annual Red and Black Ball, brought to you by the Glenbard East Booster Club. We gather tonight to celebrate Glenbard East High School, and to raise funds to enhance the experience of our students. We are touched by the outpouring of affection and support for our school from Glenbard East families, alumni, faculty and staff, and the wider community. We appreciate the many businesses, families, teams and organizations who have donated items, purchased raffle tickets and placed ads for our auction. Our volunteers have worked very hard to remember the “FUN” in fundraising and it is our sincere wish that our guests have a great time tonight, while providing needed support for a very worthy cause.
