All our workshops are delivered in our ‘space to create’ at the loft Space’ a great place to spend the
day. Your tutor Janet Hagger is a highly experienced and qualified tutor with many years’
experience in teaching adults in a wide range of creative subjects. Our workshop numbers are kept
small to maximise your learning experience, we only ever offer a maximum of ten places per

green*fusions: rag rug ‘trug’ workshops 10am until -4pm .
Create your very own unique family heirloom whilst recycling your old t shirts.
Our own method of rag rugging using an eco-non-fray, non-rot matting which is also washable!
The workshop costs £30and includes materials and equipment to start your own unique rug.

green*fusions: Crochet workshops 10am -4pm
Learn to crochet and /or enhance your crochet skills with new stitches and techniques
Janet’s four stitch programme…. the only stitches you need to learn to create crochet squares,
colourful granny squares and pretty flowers… start a sampler cushion make broaches ..the choice is
yours. This workshop is suitable for beginners and will allow you to practice the basics for the day
or progress on to other stitches or projects when you feel ready to do so. If you can already
crochet why not come along and extend your skills there are so many stitches and techniques to try!
The workshop costs £30and includes materials and equipment to get you started

Learn how to crochet with our very own Hunky Chunky 20/25mm crochet hooks made by us in
Marsden from reclaimed wood…
Try something different, crochet with super chunky and multi stranded yarns, try out fabric and
other recycled materials for quick and easy scarves, bath mats, rugs, bags, oven gloves and much
more…make an item in a couple of hours! Suitable for beginners and experienced crocheters
The workshop costs £30 includes materials for sampling on the day

Try out our range of knitting looms and tools from the great little 3/6 peg wonderknitter
…round… long and up to the 230 peg serenity loom! There’s so much choice and so many
techniques and stitches to discover…
We’ve found this craft to be very popular with men as it’s an excellent way to relax and de-stress.
Easier on the hands than knitting pins and great for younger people wishing to learn a craft. Learn
how to loom knit and produce wearable and professional looking hats scarves cushions bags
blankets etc. great workshop for parent and child (9+) (special offer child half price with parent)
Cost £30 /adult £15/child attending with an adult
Use of any loom /tool during workshop & sampling yarns provided.

Create patchwork/quilted samplers using a variety of hand or machine patchwork and quilting
techniques.
Start a beautiful patchwork cushion project using your own recycled fabric and/or choose from our
range of beautiful cotton patchwork fabrics…
Have a go at traditional English piecing patchwork….. grandmothers flower garden or choose

Wednesday afternoon 1.30 - 4.30 pm or Evening 6-9pm
Make something new, up cycle something old, repair something loved…. The choice is yours!
Dressmaking, Pattern making, Children’s and adults clothing, Curtain, Cushions Interior design and
room planning ….. Design for crafts, design development and portfolios…..
Tuition available from beginners up to City and Guilds Diploma level
Tuition provided to suit individual learning requirements and at appropriate level.
Use of digital sewing machines, four thread over locker and needle felting/fabric embellishing
machine included.
Pre- course review of your individual requirements will be provided ensuring maximum use of class
time and material preparation. End of course review and certificate of attendance also available.
This workshop costs £60 for each 4 week course (12 hours) starting on the dates
listed below
