MATERIALS: Knitting worsted yarn, or 100% cotton worsted Crochet hook, size 5.5mm (USI-9) Yarn needle Ribbon (optional) INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Chain 3, make 11 double crochet in the 3rd stitch from the hook. Slip stitch to join, and form a round circle. (12 stitches) 2. Chain 3, and turn, *double crochet in the next stitch. Chain 1. Repeat from * across the round, slip stitch to join. (12 stitches, and 12 chain 1 spaces) 3. Chain 3 and turn, make 2 double crochet in each chain 1 space around, slip stitch to join. (24 stitches) 4. Chain 3 and turn, double crochet in the same space. Make 2 double crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join. (48 stitches) 5. Chain 4 and turn, *skip the next stitch, double crochet in the next stitch, chain 1. Repeat from * across the round. (24 double crochet, and 24 chain 1 spaces) FOR A SMALL SNOOD, you are finished. Fasten off and weave the yarn ends into the finished work. Pass a silk ribbon through the last row of stitches. (Optional: chain a cord of 70 stitches, and pass through the last row of stitches.) MEDIUM SNOOD: 6. Chain 4, *double crochet in the next chain 1 space, chain 1. Repeat from * around, slip stitch to join, and fasten off, and weave the yarn ends into the finished work. (24 double crochet, and 24 chain 1 spaces) Pass a silk ribbon through the last row of stitches. (Optional: chain a cord of 70 stitches, and pass through the last row of stitches.) LARGE SNOOD: Repeat step 6 for as many times as you need. Fasten off, and weave the yarn ends into the finished work. Pass a silk ribbon through the last row of stitches.
