The sunlight provided our room with plenty of heat and light. We learned in groups, played an environment version of BINGO, used many math manipulatives and ended the day with a beautiful story about protecting Mother Earth. Students encouraged each other to keep going. We kept track of our time using math “Link-its”. Each link representing 10 minutes spent “in the dark”.
