WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF COMPRESSION? Compression therapy is one of the basic building blocks in the treatment of venous complaints and oedema disorders as lymphoedema or lipoedema. Juzo® Expert is distinguished by its flat and elastic seam. The two-stretch Juzo® Expert elasticity of the fabric allows the patient full freedom of movement. The material is very easy to clean and dries in a matter of a few hours at a room temperature of 21 °C (70 °F), which is also ideal for burns/scars too. Protective material It is especially important when therapeutically treating scars that the new healed skin be carefully looked after and protected against environmental influences like strong sunlight. Juzo® Expert offers a UV protection factor of 80 in compression class 1 and 2. This has been verified and certified by the Hohenstein Institute. Juzo® Expert Strong: the competent partner in lymphology Thanks to the high therapeutic pressure and massaging effect of the fabric, Juzo® Expert Strong is especially recommended for use with difficult to treat lymphoedemas that are accompanied by fibrosis. The more intensive the skin contact, the stricter the conditions which must be met. All Juzo® compression fabrics, both the circular-knitted and flat-knitted varieties, have been awarded the “Oeko-Tex® Standard 100” label for textiles. This is your guarantee from the company Julius Zorn that all components of a product are completely harmless to humans and the environment. The requirements go in their entirety far beyond existing national laws. RAL quality mark All medical compression stockings from the company Juzo® fulfill the currently applicable RAL quality requirements. The test specifications contain a comprehensive set of binding guidelines on the manufacture of medical compression stockings and sleeves, for example: • material characteristics (harmless to humans) • periodic quality inspections, for example by the Hohenstein Research Institute • rubber-elastic properties in the lengthwise and crosswise directions • compression classes 1-4 (compression class 1-3 for sleeves) • manufacture of custom-made and standard size stockings CE mark Juzo® compression stockings and pantyhose fulfill all the requirements of the Medical Products Act and the European Council Directive 93/42/EEC.
