 T E R M S O F R E F E R E N C E Consultancy Service for Technical Assistance on CVF and UNFCCC PH Events Background The Philippines continue to be an active player in the international climate negotiations. Recently, the Philippines, through the Climate Change Commission, took over responsibility from Costa Rica in chairing the Climate Vulnerable Forum from January 2015 until mid-­‐2016. The CVF presents an opportunity for the Climate Change Commission to promote and showcase the country’s programs and strategic orientation on climate change. Objectives of the Consultancy The main objective of the consultancy assignment is to provide advisory services to the Climate Change Commission in the organization and management of selected international events to showcase accomplishment and share best practices and to support PH commitment on CVF visibility as part of its function as chair of the Climate Vulnerable Forum. International Labor Conference (June 1-­‐13, Geneva) Key events for PH-­‐CCC and CVF 6. Bonn Climate Change Conference -­‐ June 2015 Side Event; UNFCCC Intercessional (June 3-­‐14, Bonn) 7. COP 21/CMP 11 -­‐ United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris; UNFCCC Conference of Parties Side Event (30 November -­‐ 11 December 2015 , Paris) Specifically, the consultancy assignment shall provide assistance in the: 1. Event narrative documentation reports according to CCC standard format The consultant(s) shall also participate in meetings as may be called by the Climate Change Commission. Qualification Requirements The consultant/specialist must have extensive experience on projects related to the engagement. Likewise, s/he must have •

At least 5 years practical experience in coordination and management of international events Relevant experience on climate policy is an advantage Proficient in English communication (oral and written) Duty Station The position is Manila-­‐based for accessibility and availability to allow for discussions/reporting on progress of activities as may be required by the CCC. Reporting The consultant/specialist shall work in close coordination and directly report to the CCC-­‐Deputy Executive Director. Contract Fee The Consultant will be contracted in consideration of the gross amount of Forty Thousand Pesos (Php 40,000.00) per month, chargeable against the CCC funds, which includes all of the costs and profits as well as any tax duties, fees and charges that may be imposed. Travel and related costs for the engagement are excluded and shall be borne by the CCC subject to prior agreement/s.
